Just returned from a great four night stay @ CC. Was a holiday week, so the island was a little crazy (traffic jams on Nantucket!?), but CC was our oasis from it all. Not being the typical uber-rich Nantucket guest, the CC was a bargain and as clean and comfortable as any $400+/night B&B on the island. Nothing fancy about the place, and the Victorian decor might not suit everyone, but if you're simply looking for a great basecamp from which to explore Nantucket and don't want to spend an arm and a leg, CC is the place for you.
A few specifics:
--the warm, homemade muffins are a perfect start to any beach day
--Mo, the innkeeper, is fantastic...there when you need her, and hanging in the background when you want to be left alone. Was literally as if she opened her home to us.
--great location on Easton St--a short walk to town and at an intersection that serves as a shuttle stop for both the Madaket and Jettie's Beach shuttles.
--if you get one of the rooms on the first floor, expect a little extra noise in the morning when people are hanging in the great room and grabbing breakfast. Not much to do about it except try to get a room upstairs.
So, that's what we got...if we make a return trip to ACK, we'll definitely be staying at the Corners (as do many of our friends)...
