I had the same experience as the previous reviewer - lovrtotrsavel. The location was great but the inn needed major updating. door did not close, extra aerobeds they gave leaked air, matresses were worn out. They ran out of the meager breakfast they offered - stale cheerios, raisin bread. The main thing was - the owners, Fred and Sheila - were incredibly rude. Not even a word of welcome, kept us waiting, told us to come back at check in time ( we were a little early) and when we did, the room was not ready. I understand about check in times, but it was just the way they treated us - was not at all in a hospitable manner.
The two girls that worked there were very sweet and friendly, but you could see that they were not happy and were petrified of the owners. If they are so resentful of guests using group buying programs, they should not participate in such offers.

I've read some of the 'great' reviews...well okay .but i dont think we were at the same Centre Street INN..
When making reservations by phone the innkeepers were very rude and told me to make reservations online! On arrival no one was around. I waited in the common area which had what looked like garage-sale nic-knacks thrown randomly around the room. It was just plain sad looking. I was not offered the complimentary bottle of wine and a couple staying there were actually accused of asking for a second bottle ...basically called liars. The breakfast was horrendous...nothing was set up . You had to ask for cups and silverware cheesey left-over warmed up cinammon bread and cheap yogurt "parfaits" with a few bluberries thrown on top. The room was cozy but I could never lock the door and anyone could look through the cracks. There was the attic ceiling panel open and a mess of stuff showing. The one bathroom I used was definitely in need of updating but what totally grossed me out was the fact there was black mold all around the edges where the walls met the tub and I am not a neat freak at home. It was just disgusting. The place was run shotty . The "office" was in the kitchen with stacks of crap all over and the female innkeeper (who was very unkempt) treated the one staff member terribly in front of guests. I felt sorry for her. Need I say more.

My girlfriend and I stayed at this Inn for three nights. We were very excited to find an Inn with a room with two beds and so close to the town of Nantucket. Unfortunately we did not like the Inn as much as we hoped. Our room, Valentine's Day, was very nice, large, clean and the beds comfortable. The bathroom was horrible. Aside from the bathroom being small, the sink had a seperate hot and cold faucet and the shower was a pre-fab plastic shower placed in the corner with the plumbing exposed as well as the seam tearing apart. The nice room and horrible average out to so-so for me.

Next door is a nice restaurant, so be prepared to have some large trucks delivering food or hearing the recycling being sorted out back every so often. The main areas of the Inn are clean and nice, there is a shared mini fridge on the first floor in the main room.

The Inn keepers were not helpful and rude, which made our stay not as delightful as we had hoped. They did not give us an orientation about where things were or ask if we needed any information, etc... They were a bit short with their staff who served breakfast and cleaned the area. It just set the vibe as not great for me and a bit uncomfortable. This is the first B & B that I will say I do not want to return to.

Friendly staff, close to ferry terminal, would definitely stay again!
