Friendly staff, close to ferry terminal, would definitely stay again!

Just returned from a 3 night stay at The Centre Street Inn. My wife and I really enjoyed ourselves. The location was great, a short walk to town and all the restaurants, but far enough away to be nice and peaceful. We had the "New Years Day" room which was quite comfortable with a queen bed, couch and chair, very clean. Breakfast was coffee, tea, juices, fresh fruit, coffee cake, cereal, bread for toast, and a parfait of yogurt, granola and fruit. The Inn was full but very quiet. I would definitely stay here again.

We recently stayed for 2 nights at the Centre Street Inn. Overall it is a fantastic inn. I don't think we ever stayed anywhere that old before. It is kept up very nicely and Mr Heap was very nice and allowed us to keep our rented scooter in back of the house. The only thing that is sparse and not as advertised is coffee and tea all day although we did not ask and if we did maybe it would have been given to us. The pictures on the website of homemade cake and goodies are misleading. Breakfast was 2 pieces of cinnamon bread and 2 slices of cantaloupe. I understand that apparently cooking isn't permitted in Nantucket but other inns advertise cooked breakfast. I would not let that detract from my review unless that was important. This is a wonderful place and kept well.
