We stayed at the Days Inn - Attleboro over the weekend of 8/3/07. We drove from out of state to visit with some friends and spend some time in Boston.
We arrived about an hour before the stated check-in time, and the desk clerk was kind enough to allow us to check-in early. It was 95 degrees the day of our arrival, and when we got to our room our door was wide open (as were the other unoccupied rooms) and the air conditioner off -- this was evidently management's attempt to save on the electricity bill. And this became a common theme for our entire stay. The A/C unit didn't blow very cold, the bathroom door didn't close, the desk chair in the room could be pulled apart and one of the floor lights was powered by an extension cord that ran across a corner of the floor. As far as cleanliness goes, the shower curtain in the bathtub wasn't particularly clean, and the trash can by the exit/entrance of the hall outside was filled to overflowing, with lots of trash on top of the can and around the bottom. The glass door was pretty dirty too.
This hotel wasn't in the best area either, but I guess I understood that when I booked. It just generally left a bad taste in my mouth because of the hot, sweaty night and the somewhat dirty conditions.
