This B&B is up for sale and we hope it will be purchased by someone who will continue to operate it as well as the current owner. Jean's electic taste suited me perfectly, and was a welcome respite from the overly floral cuteness that can afflict many B&Bs...I felt like I was visiting a wealthy relative's home, including being fed hearty imaginative breakfasts that included inquiries about whether, in addition to fresh muffins, apple crisp, french toast, quiche, would I like her to make me some eggs and bacon? oh my! our room was gorgeously appointed and comfortable. The rooms are very reasonably priced given the size and amenities, including huge tile baths private to each of the three. Parking is free and access to Boston and Cambridge easy via car, bus and T. Arlington has grown in sophistication over the years and now boasts many great restaurants right around the corner from the Gov Brackett House. Jean has restored this federal era beauty with great respect for historic detail, adding her own tasteful flourishes. Loved it!
