Although the staff is polite and friendly and the location is good, right in front of the city park, this hotel is deffinitly in need of refurbishment. The rooms are very bad, big but outreagesly outdated, not so clean and some smell from humidity and sewage. The room was kept warm and the breakfast was moderately ok although bread is important and they allways had kind of strange bread (along with package orange juice). The restaurant is good but far too expensive for the place. The restaurant is actually the nicest thing here and does not compare to the rooms which are really quite bad, namely in terms of design and maintenance.
I stayed here for about 10 days, booked by the people I was working with so leaving was not an option because it would seem too rude, so I did have to endeavour quite a big effort to live in this really uggly not so clean room for over a week and do not recommend it. I survived the experience and did never see insects (which would immediatly put me far away, with all certainty) but I do think there are plenty of other options in Skopje and that mostly any other hotel would be better. I would advise the managers to quickly work on improving the rooms, sweage and bathrooms and overall do serious work in this hotel. The price is totally unreasonable regarding the quality of stay. Hoowever, the staff is very pleasant, location is good and safe.
