Stayed for 3 nights on a business trip. The hotel is clean, comfortable and the staff were excellent. Breakfast was fine. Air con could be better. No character but it's in a great location - very central and relaxed - opens on to a square with bars and cafes and the Mother Teresa centre. The city itself is a bit run down but the Old Bazaar area is pretty cool at night - live music and a great atmosphere.

Stayed for 3 nights while on business. The hotel is nice and clean and in an excellent location. My room was huge, although it was a twin room which meant that I had a single bed (could not change as the hotel was fully booked) and the smallest ever duvet. Staff were ok, and generally it was all no frills.

There are not a lot of options in Skopje if one wants to stay near the square. The Best Western Turist is a solid choice. The staff is helpful, the hotel clean. Breakfast was fine -- usually a full spread of some kind of egg dish, several meats, fruit, cereals, breads, juice, tea and coffee. Free internet in the room was reliable and speedy. The television worked fine. My room had a queen size bed, a small desk and comfortable desk chair. The bathroom was immaculate and the shower had strong, hot water on demand. I would stay there again. It's quite basic but it was in an excellent location.

Get a room with a balcony, and you can lean out over the square and watch people pass by (as well as the statue of Mother Teresa). I found this hotel very comfortable, central location and close to restaurants and shops, friendly and charming service. Not the most unique or stylish hotel I've ever stayed in, but would certainly recommend it.
