“Good budget hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2012

This hotel was conveniently located for my needs and was the least expensive. It was clean and and had free wireless, workout center, and indoor pool. It also had free parking and two good restaurants across the parking lot, Chili's and the Chateau. I thought it was a little pricey but all the hotels in this area were quite expensive for a small town far outside Boston. My only complaints would be of my fellow guests and the outrageous city tax neither of which is any fault of the hotel's. It's not the Ritz-Carlton it's a budget hotel and for that level a very good one.

“Bed bugs!!! EW!!!! Stay out of 202”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 December 2011

So disgusting!! ... Just... DISGUSTING!

I chose this hotel because we were going to my cousin's Christmas party. The hotel was 15 minutes from his house, and since we lived 2 1/2 hours away, it seemed like a very nice alternative to a ride home... Pool, hot tub, spa, breakfast, not to mention, it was a pet-friendly hotel that would accommodate our 12 year old springer spaniel, who has recently started having seizures.

Upon arrival, there was a giant, smashed beer bottle in the parking lot near the main entrance. We were lucky to have missed it with our car tires, because a flat tire is the last thing anyone needs when away on vacation! We brought the bottle to the hotel's attention, and they said they would get maintenance right on it.... Well, one hour afterwards, when walking our dog, we had to keep him away from the shards that still remained scattered all over the parking lot. 2 hours later, when leaving for our party, the mess was still there!!! Isn't that a safety hazard?

The room, when we first walked in, smelled funny... Like death and mold, and other nasty stuff. Luckily, though, I had planned for this--being a Scentsy consultant, I was armed with a flame free candle, that quickly got the place smelling like pine trees.

My mother immediately noticed mold growing up the curtains... (Ew.) All the scratches on the furniture, the chips in the tiles, tub, and countless other defects. But we decided to grin and bear it for one night. It sure beat a 2 1/2 hour drive back home....

Went for a swim, and found the hot tub was broken... Something both my mother and I had planned on using due to our bad backs.... Even the pool seemed dirty.. Very disappointing.

After the Christmas party we returned to the hotel about 11PM, (Yes, the broken glass remained in the parking lot) I fell asleep around then, and woke up around 1AM to my mother's frantic "WE NEED TO LEAVE, NOW! I WANT TO GO HOME!"

After laying in bed, and watching TV for two hours my mother felt something biting her ankle! She tried telling herself it was all in her imagination, until she saw a huge bug run across her mattress. So, yes, it was a bedbug.

Upon opening her pillow case she found the pillow was infested with larvae.... So disgusting!!!! I wanted to throw up.

We packed up and drove right home.... Another Two and a halfs hours.... Shed our clothing outdoors in twenty degree weather so as to not risk infesting our own home.. Still don't know what to do with the clothes on the porch, or the bags in our car...

The worst part, though?

There are now two very sad children who did not get to see their aunties or get their Christmas presents because we had to leave so early and unexpectedly.

Thank you for nothing!!!

Room Tip: Room 202 is nasty!

“Excellent!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 November 2011

Stayed here for eight nights in october 2011 with my son while visiting relatives & sightseeing in Maine & Boston. Ideally located for both providing you have a car. This hotel was excellent & far exceeded my expectations for a budget chain hotel. We got a prefferential rate for booking 8 nights so only paid $75 plus taxes per room per night.
Rooms were spotless & the beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept in! (Made getting up in the morning really difficult!).
Free Wi-fi was available in the room & having travelled from the UK the iron, hairdryer & refrigerator were useful additions.
Staff were friendly & on the whole heipful.
This hotel offers a really good self service buffet breakfast with a wide selection ranging from eggs, cerials, waffles, bagels, fruit, yoghurt, pancakes, croisant, toast & more!
The swimming pool & gym were an added bonus which my son took advantage of following his big breakfast!
Chili's Restaurant is conveniently situated at the end of the car park serving a good & descent selection of food & drinks. (Handy if you fancy an alcoholic drink & dont want to drive) & there is a gas station on the opposite side of the road open 24/7 where you can purchase sandwiches/snacks/drinks/ or Dunkin Dounuts/coffee etc.
If you are planning to visit Boston, I suggest you drive to & park at Anderson RTC (railway station) ($4 all day) & jumping the train ($19 for two adults) as it is cheaper, quicker & less hastle than driving & parking in Boston.
Overall I would strongly recomend this hotel for tourists & buisness alike.

Room Tip: You're never going to get a scenic view if you stay here! Our room on the second floor overlooke...

“Clean and comfortable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 November 2011

We stopped here for one night on the way south to the Cape. I felt it was a bit expensive for what you get but the breakfast was very good and everything was clean. There are also a couple of restaurants a few minutes walk through the car park.
