“Sufficient for the area”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 March 2011

Stayed at the Courtyard in February 2011 for 14 days. The area itself is quiet and very safe since its amongst government facilities.

However there are no restaurants or shops nearby although there is a restaurant in the hotel itself which is quite good.

During my stay though the laundry facilities were out of service and we had to use the external laundry service which costs a bomb. Also there were kids staying at the hotel and they made lots of noise and ruckus, something which the management should have done something about especially at this hotel since it cater to mostly business guests.

The internet was free although at certain times slow. I would most likely not stay here again, not because of the hotel but because of its location. There are many other hotels around the Arundel Mills area.

“Modern, clean and isolated”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 October 2010

We stayed here because we couldn't get a reasonably priced hotel in Annapolis over boat weekend. This Courtyard is new with more modern decor and a good sized lobby area for breakfast overflow/ casual meetings by the TV. The downside was that a restaurant is being added so breakfast was being served in a small conference room off the lobby. It made it harder for the staff to monitor the usual breakfast problem- the really large family reunion hits the buffet and then there's nothing left for anyone else to eat. And FYI, there's nothing within walking distance if you don't like the selection/ price of the food. Make sure you have a car. Also, there's only one public access computer if you forgot your laptop.
Anyway, the beds were cozy, the rooms were quiet and the pool/ hot tub was not over chlorinated. There was actually a life guard on duty. Must be Maryland stat law.

“Someone stole the bed and left a cardboard box”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 June 2010

When I travel I go out of my way to find a Marriott. The appearence of this hotel is average--a bit worn out. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant, which you will use because the hotel is completely isoloated, is terrible. I ordered a Marriott burger which was really bad; dry, hard bun, etc. The worst was the bed. What happen to the great Marriott beds? You could feel the springs sticking you in the back. There are lots of Marriotts in the area, choose another.

“Power went off on post; Found this GREAT price and GREAT quality!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 March 2010

My boyfriend and I live on post and unfortunately, any inclement weather cause power outages. So at 2:30 AM, our power went off. We remembered a close friend of ours went to the Courtyard Marriott the last time we were snowed in. We also remember that it was a GREAT price! ($80/night!). We arrived around 3:30 AM, and was greeted by a friendly concierge. She said that checking in would be no problem, and they would only be charging us for ONE night; meaning that since it was technically Saturday morning, we did not have to check out until Sunday at 11:00 AM.

The hotel room exceeded our expectations! It was beautiful, clean, and VERY spacious. All in all, it was an excellent find. The food was good! Breakfast was decently priced, and was tasty! I would definitely stay here again!

“Comfortable and close to the spy museum”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 October 2009

This is a comfortable place to stay. Plenty of space, clean and new. My biggest issues with this hotel were the old exercise equipment and the fact that there isn't really anything to eat nearby.
