We checked in during Hurricane Irene, picking this hotel both for its amenties (full kitchen, Internet) and pet-friendly attitude. The pet fee was $150, but most places do charge a similar amount. On first inspection, the room was lovely. Full kitchen (small fridge) and like most places with a kitchen, no dishwashing liquid or salt/pepper. The bed appears to be a double instead of a queen, but maybe that is because I had to share it with my 19 year old daughter! The pull out couch for my 17 year old son worked well, but was also small. The do not have cots because they explained "there is no room with a pull out sofa," no quite true and a cot would have been very welcome!
Our biggest con to this resort, and why we would probably not stay here again is the Internet access. Wireless is only available in the common area (breakfast area) and there are no plugs easily available to plug in your laptop. There is a cable provided in the room, but with 2 teenagers plus myself, this option wore us out quickly enough. Truly, I would have picked a different resort based on this one consideration.
The dog facilities are nice - a bit of lawn provided in the back of the property with doggie bags and a garbage bin. The pool is outside and very small.
The best part of this resort is the staff who do seem to try to be "over the top" nice and accommodating.
Room Tip: Don't expect Internet for the whole family in the room.
