“Decent location and comfortable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 December 2011

I switched from the Courtyard to Residence Inn in the same area. The Courtyard has it issues and I will review them as well. However, Residence Inn gave me the comforts of home. I did not have the internet issues that others reported. I stayed in the loft version and it was very comfortable as I have to call this hotel room home for four days of every week. The hotel is close to a nice mall with a Whole Foods grocery store, good restaurants and is within 10 minutes driving to down town Annapolis. I only had one issue and that was when the weather got cold and windy, the wind was coming in a bit from the front door gaps.

“Good to have a little Reach around You”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 December 2011

The Residence Inn provides relatively large rooms for the area. That said I've only stayed in one other local hotel to compare it to. The hotel is great for summer visits if you are wanting a pool outside. The rooms are clean and large. The breakfast is decent and we even had food in the evening provided. I recommend it for families and groups.

“I'd come back, although the internet is very poor.”

I stayed here for 3 months for a work trip, the room had just been remodeled and was clean. The internet was pretty much unusable for anything but checking e-mail (which still took ages). The staff were friendly and helpful and the on site coin operated laundry was a big plus for me. I often travel for a month or more for work and I would say this was one of the most pleasant places I have stayed, the kitchen was well equipped.

Room Tip: Buildings are 2 story and the floor is thin, if you want to ensure a good sleep try to get on the up...

“Comfortable Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 November 2011

Stayed here for 2 weeks and it was very friendly and comfotable. The room keeping service was excellent and the front desk staff was extremely helpfull with dining suggestions and aiding me in communicating with home. I was in the process of bidding on and then buying a house in Georgia and had to be in Annapolis for work and the front desk staff was very helpfull with all the faxes and mail that had to be sent and delivered. It was a great stay.

“Could be a better set up for families/computer friendly.”

We checked in during Hurricane Irene, picking this hotel both for its amenties (full kitchen, Internet) and pet-friendly attitude. The pet fee was $150, but most places do charge a similar amount. On first inspection, the room was lovely. Full kitchen (small fridge) and like most places with a kitchen, no dishwashing liquid or salt/pepper. The bed appears to be a double instead of a queen, but maybe that is because I had to share it with my 19 year old daughter! The pull out couch for my 17 year old son worked well, but was also small. The do not have cots because they explained "there is no room with a pull out sofa," no quite true and a cot would have been very welcome!

Our biggest con to this resort, and why we would probably not stay here again is the Internet access. Wireless is only available in the common area (breakfast area) and there are no plugs easily available to plug in your laptop. There is a cable provided in the room, but with 2 teenagers plus myself, this option wore us out quickly enough. Truly, I would have picked a different resort based on this one consideration.

The dog facilities are nice - a bit of lawn provided in the back of the property with doggie bags and a garbage bin. The pool is outside and very small.

The best part of this resort is the staff who do seem to try to be "over the top" nice and accommodating.

Room Tip: Don't expect Internet for the whole family in the room.
