“Quiet hideaway in the center of Annapolis”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2011

It's amazing to find a quiet, lovely, small inn just a block from the Annapolis waterfront. The Harbor View Inn makes you feel at home, not like staying at a hotel. The building itself is interesting. The moment you walk in the front door, your eye is caught by beautiful architectural details that are at once modern but fit into the feel of the original home. This is particularly true in the upstairs foyer, which leads to the largest guest room, where you can see down into the first floor. The location is fantastic. Just one block from the water, our room had a porch that had a water view, and would be delightful on which to sit in warmer weather. It was a short walk to everything in downtown Annapolis. The largest room was huge. Our room was small but comfortable and cheerful. We had a package that included breakfast in bed. Breakfast was delicious, and the innkeeper was friendly and helpful with recommendations. We most definitely would stay there again.

“The best spot in town for all the right reasons!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 January 2011

The Haror View Inn of Annapolis is a great value! It is located within a few minutes walk of "downtown" Annapolis, the City dock, great (seafood!) restaurants the Naval Academy and the Maryland State House. And Andrea and Chuck make you feel right at home the minute you walk in. The rooms are delightful, comfortable and quiet. the breadfast is gourmet all the way. What a place! We can't wait to get back!!

“Harbor View Inn of Annapolis - The Ideal Inn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2010

We stayed at The Harbor View Inn because of the reviews we had seen on Trip Advisor and what a superb experience the Inn provided.
The Inn is ideally situated on a side street just a 5 minute walk from the town centre and with a view towards the harbour and the Bay.
The hosts, Andrea and Chuck, welcomed us for our 2 night stay and we soon realised why they had established a worthy reputation for the Inn and themselves.
The room we had ( The Garden View Room ) was huge, beautifully decorated and with all the many facilities as described on their website.
The lounge area and adjoining dining room, where Andrea serves wonderful breakfasts, look out onto the secluded garden (Chuck's handiwork), the decor and furnishings throughout the Inn were first class.
The Inn is situated on a side road just a 5 minute walk from the town centre and the inner harbour, a further 5 minute walk takes you to the US Naval Academy.
Both the town and the Naval Academay are well worth investigating but allow at least 3 - 4 hours if you want to see most of the Naval Academy as it is based on a very large site.
We thoroughly enjoyed being spoilt by Andrea, Chuck and the dogs, Brodie & Brie and will no doubt return at some stage to see more of the very historic area around Chesapeake Bay.

“a lovely B & B centrally located in historic Annapolis”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 October 2010

My husband and I spent four days at the Harbor View Inn over Labor Day weekend. The purpose of our trip was to attend a wedding at the nearby Marriott Waterfront Hotel. Our room was very nice with a bathroom en suite and a balcony. The living room was large and comfortable. Each day we were served a huge gourmet breakfast on the patio with the other guests and wine and snacks in the late afternoon. If you are interested in a more intimate setting than a large hotel offers, I would definitely recommend this inn. We felt like pampered guests in a beautiful private home.

“The perfect place to stay in Annapolis”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 October 2010

Annapolis on a football weekend is almost impossible to do without a lot of pre-planning and the costs are very expensive if you want to stay within walking distance of anything. The Harbor View Inn is an excellent alternative to the local big hotels. Andrea and Chuck are excellent hosts. From the moment you arrive they make you feel right at home in their very lovely inn. The two smaller rooms are very comfortable, though not extremely spacious. A weekend away living out of your travel bag is about all they can accommodate. We peaked into the larger room, which looked fantastic. There, i believe, we could have stayed for an extended period.

Wine and a small snack is offered around 5:00 pm, but we were later getting back from the football game and everything was still available. It was nice sitting outside on their patio and having a glass of wine chatting with our friends who had joined us for the weekend. Later in the evening they indulged our friends with hot water for tea.

Breakfast was fantastic. One day it was a homemade granola and yogurt with pastry and the next some wonderful French toast. The inn only holds about six people and we had a wonderful time chatting at breakfast with another couple who were staying there. Andrea joined us for coffee at breakfast both days. We enjoyed talking to her and understanding more about the home and life as a B&B keeper. Most often though, they were only there when you needed them so we didn't feel they were at all overbearing.

The inn is within a couple of short blocks of all the action in Annapolis. A real plus is that they offer off-street parking so you can drive in, park and basically not move the car all weekend unless you're going out beyond just the immediate downtown area. Even then, parking will be available when you return. Given the limited availability in Annapolis, we found this to be a real plus.

Like everything during the fall, you want to make reservations early.
