We are very fond of overnight trips. It is a fun get away for our family of three. Having an active young boy, our accomodations must have a pool. We had stayed in a Country Inn and Suites once before and it was a good experience. We decided to give the one in Annapolis a try. Everything written is true; clean rooms, friendly staff (in general..getting to that) and many nice touches such as borrowing books and DVD's. Our problem came when we went to use the pool Sunday morning. It turns out that private swim lessons were being given (for people coming from outside of the hotel) and half the pool was not available for our use. Again, half the pool was not available for the paying guests. This lasted from at least 10 a.m. -12 noon. In general hotel pools are not very large and so if there are a few people in the pool it is already getting crowded. It was inconsiderate at least.This Country Inn and Suites did not notify its paying guests of this policy and so it was a surprise come Sunday morning. Something was said to the manager that day and in the spirit of trying to help the establishment understand why this was not a very nice practice, an email was written to both the corporate office and the Annapolis hotel. While a gift certificate for a free night's stay is to be on the way, a satisfactory answer was not given. We were told that the Country Inn and Suites would take this under advisement. There are far too many hotels to choose from to choose one that seeks to earn a little (assumed) profit on the side OVER making sure one's guest are happy. Had we known that private swim lessons were offered on Sunday morning, we would not have chosen this establishment.

Stayed here December 2011 for an event in Annapolis, MD. The hotel was clean and front desk staff friendly. Never really encountered additional staff.

Room was large enough and bed comfortable. Shower was good and bath sink area was roomy enough for everything. Nice that there are power outlets on both sides of the sink.

Breakfast area was clean and breakfast was ok. There were enough items to choose from. Coffee could be stronger, however.

The only comment I have are the AC/heat units. I prefer the quieter AC/heat units that use a system within the walls vs. the ones that constantly go on/off below the windows. This hotel has the later.

Have stayed here about six times during the past three years, enjoying consistent quality and cleanliness in the rooms. This hotel seems to sell blocks of rooms for companies, businesses and government agencies which are hosting events both in and out of the hotel property. This is a good thing because the average patron is older and not running through the hallways yelling to family. You'll see families with children in the hotel, but overall the guests seem older (and more quiet). Note that there are two room styles here: one style is like the typical, under-$125 a night hotel room with one large area with a separate bath. In this style you get two separate beds. The other style divides the room into two areas: a sleeping area with one king bed, and the other area is like a living room with a sofa, desk and large screen TV. Both styles come with a TV, but if you prefer two bed please know that the room is not divided like in the king-size bed style.

Stayed here as it is the closest hotel to my family in MD and allows us to easily get around. The rooms were nice and had all the amenities you would want in a hotel in the suburbs. The room we were in had a really nice set up with a room for the bed isolated with a door to the room with the couch and TV. Made it really easy for me to be get sorted, while my girlfriend slept. Has a grocery store across the street, so if you need anything it is easy to get.

The room was clean and comfortable.
