Senator is the best hotel in the area.
Staff are excellent..efficient and friendly.
Spa is fabulous - gym us well equipped and pool is wonderful.
Simply the best place to stay in Augusta !

Service from front desk to my server at breakfast was excellent. My room however could have been a little better. My couch looked like it was from the 70's. The tv was mounted in front of bed not allowing much room to squeeze by. Would have been better mounted in front of couch where a picture was and mounted on a motion bracket that lets you turn it to watch from the bed. Other than that, all was great.

The property was in a sad state and needs to be restored to its former glory.

The dining was wonderful and the staff was very friendly but the room was terrible as were the hallways and other public areas. The mattress was terrible and the room was worn out, paint was chipping and wallpaper was peeling. Plus I could hear everything that went on in the rooms above and next to mine, not a good nights sleep. I would not recommend this location to anyone, I checked out and into a new hotel the next morning.

As a member of the Maine House of Representatives I spend a lot of time in Augusta. The Senator is my home away from home. The level of concern for my comfort and convenience is much appreciated. My room is always clean and welcoming. The staff is always willing to go an extra step to address my needs. The food is terrific. The pool, steam room, sauna and spa are a terrific amenity. I would recommend this property to anyone who has a reason to be in Augusta for business or for pleasure!
