We've been working in the Maine area for a few months now, and have had to stay at "budget motels" such as this embarassment the whole time. Last trip, a lock was pried from one of our work vehicles, but theres no cameras, barely any exterior lighting, so nobody knows a thing. This trip, my first night a drunken prostitute tried to force her way into my room, babbling about being way to wasted and wanting to give me her money and a box of tic tacs, I pushed her out, she soon got arrested for assaulting an officer in the hallway. My 4th day, I get out to my work truck to find my GPS, good camera, laptop case (I had computer in room) and some other random stuff missing, and pry marks at the top of the door. Again, no apology from management. Nightly you will see people hanging out in the parking lot, that never seem to be with a particular vehicle. Cleanliness of this motel 6 is so so, I've seen much worse (Bangor,Portland) but I've seen better (not at a motel 6) the blankets seem institutional, so like me, you should bring your own or risk sleeping with who knows what. The motel 6 brand as a whole should be avoided here in Maine, the owners dont put a dime back into the business.

We stayed here with friends and are amazed at the bad reviews because our rooms were very good. We had two rooms with 2 queen rooms in each. The rooms were very clean, the bedding was clean and the beds were very comfortable. When we arrived there were no more first floor rooms - I hadn't told them I had a wheelchair - but the guy at the desk was so helpful and even offered to help carry me and the chair upstairs. In the end I crawled up the stairs, no big deal and he reduced our rooms by $10 each. Very quiet motel too. We don't need prints on the wall, or any other sort of extraneous fripperies - we are seasoned, world travellers and just need a clean bed, room and pleasant people around!!

My fiance and I stayed here this past weekend (Sept. 9-Sept. 11). When we got to the room I noticed that the microwave was unclean, the floor was poorly vacuumed (toenail clipping beside the bed) and the remote didn't work. I called the front desk and we were given a new remote. The gentleman looked at the microwave and said he would do something about it; he didn't. When I saw the maid the next day I mentioned the dirty microwave and toenail clippings and she said that she would take care of it. I thanked her and my fiance and I went shopping. When we returned to our room the microwave was in the same condition as it had been. I informed the front desk person of this when we checked out this morning. I would not recommend this motel to anyone.

Another example of getting exactly what you pay for. Dated, a little dingy, not so much as a print on the walls. The tv made a humming sound some of the time and the microwave wasn't clean, but the sheets and towels were immaculate. The wifi was fine. I will say I slept just fine. Would I stay there again? Only if I had no other options. The Super 8 is just on the other side of Western Ave and was a much better value.
