First of all, Parc England is visually beautiful. It's refreshing to look out the window and see rolling green and trees, instead of buildings. The hotel itself is charming, with an antique-y feel. We booked a double bed room, but found the beds to be full-size, not queen. The TV was an older model (e.g. not a flat screen) but was encased in a beautiful cabinet. I was surprised by the lack of amenities, really. When we first came in I was impressed that the two complimentary waters were Voss, until after we drank them and noticed on the back a sticker of a $3 charge. The pillows were too flat and made reclining against the headboard uncomfortable. I missed having a mini fridge for my drinks (but I could have added one to my room for $10), and why wouldn't there be towels by the swimming pool? The breakfast was also another disappointment, as it was on the scant side, so we skipped it and hit up the local Starbucks. I had a coffee maker in my room, but no tea was available. I did, however, think the soap smelled divine. In conclusive, the scenery has it going on at Parc England, but there were a lot of minor details that left much to be desired.
