“Hated the beds!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 September 2011

I am one that knows you pay for what you get but seriously this was one of the hardest beds I have EVER slept on! I literally think sleeping on the floor probably would have been more comfortable. Also the rooms were not very clean. Also we booked online through a travel sight and the rooms were actually much cheaper through the hotel by 20 dollars a night. We stayed two nights so we could have saved over 40 dollars! If you want to stay here I would advise calling the hotel to book so you aren't overpaying. On the bright side the staff was friendly.

“Good choice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 March 2011

We had no reason for choosing this hotel or location other than it was "on the way"; we were not disappointed. There was no problem with our late arrival. Rooms were basic but clean. Bed was quite firm, but not uncomfortable. Breakfast was good. Hotel was not outstanding, but there was nothing wrong. Good value for the money.

“Good, basic, no-frills motel.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2011

Nothing fancy here, but it's clean, room looked freshly painted, ceramic tile in bathroom. Carpet/furniture OK. Again, nothing fancy, but for $55 per night, it was a good value. A good, clean, basic, roadside motel. Room was fairly large and included refrigerator, coffeemaker, and wireless internet.
No complaints here.

“If you don't smoke and like a bed that's softer than the floor, go elsewhere.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2011

We checked in at the front desk just like we would at any hotel, then headed to our room. It was a smoking room. I have asthma and as such need a non-smoking room. The room was paid for as we checked in and when we asked to be moved to a non-smoking room. To be fair, it was new years eve and they were probably rather full, nonetheless, they could have TOLD us it was a smoking room before we paid or even when the room was booked. They refused to move us. The room was clean, which was nice because I've said at some real roach traps. The beds were hard...as hard as the floor. if I could have taken the floor and put it on a bunch of springs so it moved up and down when I sat on it, that wouldn't have been much different. The pillows were two to a bed (there were two queen beds.) You could hardly call them pillows. They were more like mats. They were flat and couldn't be fluffed. One of them had a permanent crease down the middle from being folded in half. When I called the front desk to ask if they had another, of course they did not. The clerk was young and so bored, I wonder how she survives working. I could hear other people talking in their rooms all night long. They were just conversing, not fighting or anything so the walls are thin.
Breakfast is uncluded with the room, but forget about it if you have to leave early. We went down at 5am to see if it had been set up and it had not. The door was locked and no clerk was to be seen. We loaded our car and finally went to check out at 5:30am and still no breakfast, which was not great because no place in town is open to eat breakfast in that hour, not even McDonalds. The door was still locked, but I could actually see her moving around. I rang the buzzer a couple of times. Maybe it was broken because when I banged on the door she finally made her way over. I told her I wanted to check out. She took my keycard and typed in the computer then said flatly, "there. you're checked out."
Talk about service.

“Decent but a bit pricey - and "deluxe" breakfast?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2009

OK - it's not a big town. Don't expect a perfect hotel.

The room was clean. Carpet good, beds a bit firm. The furniture is well worn. Upholstered chair seats were stained. Some stains on a single towel - others ok. TV fine. Paid $72 plus 14% tax (!) Very small breakfast spread, but the pre-packaged sweet roll was good. Only warm item was the Eggo or instant oatmeal. But it didnt' bother me.

Oh - had Community coffee packs in the room (good!).

The hotel is on the main drag in town - lots of traffice noise even with our small travel fan running. Can't blame hotel for that!

A nice sink, curved shower rod and new see-through shower curtain. Some spackling marks on wall show attempts at maintaining the place.

Would stay here again if necessary.

  • Disliked — traffic noise
