Not really worth your money, unless you really want a cheap place to stay. The only thing I like is that they have free p/u from the airport. Just call them to arrange and there will be someone that will hold up a sign for the Hotel Via Espana and other hotels in the area.

The hotel is really, really basic, but cheap. Didn't even have an outlet in the room or bathroom. No air conditioning in the check-in lobby or outside the rooms. You will have to turn on the air yourself when you are in your room. It does have tv, not so soft towels and not Egyptian either :) Do not get room next to the street cause it's really loud from the cars and bus especially during the day!!

There is really not much around the hotel. Just some small stores like a little grocery store, gas station with little store inside, internet places, etc. Hotel does have a little restaurant, but didn't eat there and 2 internet stations.

If you really want to stay somewhere cheap, but a little bit better. My friends and I stayed at the Euro Hotel down the block that is a little better and they have a restaurant and travel agent in the lobby. The restaurant is pretty good there for breakfast. We had 4 people in one room,but there was a little room of the big room with 2 twin beds and 2 in the main room. I think it was just like $45 per nite for all of us.

We hired a taxi drive to take us places like Colon, Gamboa (rainforest resort), Panama Canal, Panama City tour, etc. His name is Evaristo Aguila, Cell # 666-30283 International calling from US 011-507-666-30283. He really gave us a good price and is really trustworthy! :) It was only like $60 for me and 3 of my friends for the Panama City tour and for like almost the whole day!! Tell him to take you to the seafood market restaurant!! It doesn't smell good when you go in the market, but upstairs is so...good...it's cheap and fresh seafood and lots of locals go here!! Order the mussels and whole fried fish...they are so...good!! These dishes are only like $4-5 dollars. They also have lobster for cheap too like $5-12!!
