The stay started off okay, but then it started to rain. It rained for four days and nights, which is not the resort's fault, but they handled it horribly. The electricty went out the last two days of our stay. It turns out that the rest of the guests left while we were in our room, and none of the staff told us the boat (the only way to and from the island) was leaving. Then they told us the door wouldn't be able to be shut because the key cards weren't working. So we, two lone women, ended up having to leave our door open. After all of this they didn't offer us any bottled water and we had to go and ask for candles, after the managers all took, and lit some for themselves. After talking and arguing with the manager we ended up paying full price for both days!!!! They refused to discount our room, any of our food, or our drinks. The last day of our stay we checked out and asked them to call the boat to take us off the island. They told us they called the boat, but actually sent someone to walk the trail to the town (which takes 20 to 30 minutes). Then they said the boat was not coming and we could walk up the trail with our luggage. They didn't offer to help carry it, and the trail ended up being on what appeared to be a mountain. They basically made no effort to help us, know that we were stranded and at their mercy. I've never been happier to get home from vacation in my life.
PS. There is no swim up bar as advertised.
