We were to meet with several friends in Panama City and Sevilla Suites was the hotel choice to meet at. I had booked by phone 3 nights to stay here. 2 then a 5 day spread away traveling Panama then to come back on Thursday to stay the 3rd night and leaving on Friday. They put a hold on my card for the full amount for the 3 nights. When we arrived first off they said that I didnt have reservations so I gave them the name of the person I had personally spoke to by phone and was told that he would be there in the AM. I gave them my card and they charged it for two nights and I asked what about Thursday night and was told that it was not a problem but we just needed to run the card again on Thursday but they would have me a room.

Got back Thursday night tired and was ready to check in to shower so that we could go out and have a final dinner with our friends. We were told that there was not a room available. They denied ever having spoken to us about holding a room for us.

My wife and I were very upset and while we were standing at the counter discussing what we were to do our friend was checking in with his reservation which they had found and while he was filling out his info again on a card. a Panamanian couple asked for a room. They let them have a room then turned to our friend and told him there were no more rooms. I couldnt believe what I had just seen that had taken place.

Our dear friends all offered us and him to room with them but we could not impose so instead of sitting down to our final dinner in Panama with our friends we were walking the streets of Panama City finding us another place to stay the night away from our friends.

I stayed at this hotel for seven days and i had a wonderful time. I spoke next to little Spanish but reception and staff made the experience much easier for me. I enjoyed the view from the rooftop pool and i really was happy that it was close to all the shopping, great restaurants and casions all in walking distance. Different people has different taste and experiences but mine was overall good. I highly recommend this hotel and great value for luxury on a budget!

Hotel has great location but for a short term trip you may as well stay somewhere else. We stayed tonights (my mother and I) in a junior suite for $110 and we never used the kitchen. It was a lot of space and would make more sense for a family or business man who wanted to cook rather than eat out. Service was average. Beds were ROCK hard! Overall it was ok but we moved to Toscana Inn just down the road and I would say it's much better in terms of style and appeal for a short term traveler!

We stayed here for a week, and then later returned for one more night before flying out on an early flight.
This is an fairly new construction and the facilities and furniture are clean and in good condition. There is a full kitchen, but you have to buy your own ground coffee, milk sugar, salt and oil. The breakfast room, laundromat, swimming pool, and gym are all on the top floor, We tried everything except the gym and all were satisfactory.
Although few of the staff spoke English, our basic Spanish worked fine with them. Everyone was unfailingly polite and helpful.
This hotel is within easy walking distance to the major downtown hotels and good restaurants, also to a small market for staples and laundry soap. Taxis are always trolling the street in front of the hotel and fares to various places (including the international airport) were sometimes negotiable, and always seemed fair.
