We stayed at La Estancia in Jan and thoroughly enjoyed the place, the staff were very efficient, pleasant and very helpful. They were only to happy to arrange tours for us, taxis and give advice on good restaurants etc. Every morning we ate our breakfast on the balcony and loved it, as we could watch the Geoffroy monkeys, many different kind of birds incuding tanagers, squirrels running up and down the trees, also agoutis. There are no restaurants nearby but taxis are cheap and we didn't mind as it was nice to be away from the city noise. This was an excellent place to converse with other travellers, as we met so many people from Canada, US and other parts of the world. I would highly recomment this hotel to everyone.

We were there in January 2012 for a few days. It is clean, well run, efficient and the breakfasts are great. The hotel staff and the tour staff are very very helpful. It was a pleasure to stay here. One caution. It is up a big hill and there are no restaurants in the hotel or very nearby but taxis are plentiful and cheap. Highly recommended.

This is our second time to Panama, both times have had the chance to stay at this modest and extremely efficient B&B. This trip we actually came and went from here 3 times! La Estancia is consistent - it is as good now as it was 3 years ago when we first stayed. They always pick you up on time, arrange airport transfers on time, and they expect you when you arrive - your file carefully pulled together with all the necessary details. The rooms are spotless, basic, and offer a great night sleep. The proximity to the domestic airport (5 min) makes this an ideal location and the staff are very friendly. Monkeys & birds flirt outside the windows in the morning, making this a very pleasant stay. The price, cannot be beat!

Can't add much to the reviews, good clean place, helpful staff who are good at organising taxis and transfers etc. We've stayed in Panama City before in a rental which was good but on this occasion we were just here for one night. We'll located to Albrook, the Mall, Metropolitan park and the old town, but you'll have to take a taxi to all of them. Good security, nice breakfast and plenty of birds to sea from the balcony! Nice guesthouse.
