I have stayed here many times since 2000,what makes it special is the terrific panoramic views of the ocean and causeway,and the general comfort.
The swimming pool is OK and the new addition of a cocktail bar much appreciated !
More enjoyable staying here than many five star hotels in Panama.

The rooms, the food and the attention are good. Is a good option in Panama City. Is better if you can choose a room in a higher floor and now over the meeting rooms or near the avenue because those are too noisy.

I've stayed at the plaza Paitilla inn many times on my business trips to Panama, the hotel its pretty old but looks like it has been updated probably a couple of times, so all the amenities are modern....the rooms are pretty good also, we stay here mainly because the hotel offers great value for the money, rooms are large, very clean, nice beds, minibar, mini fridge, modern flat screen tv, breakfast and wifi was also included in our room rate this time, service it's not the best we have had but it's good...location it's great....and if you get lucky and get a room with a view to the bay you are in for a treat.....so basically it's a great value for the money for this nice hotel...

We stayed for one (1) night in a room on the ninth (9th) floor (noise from street below).
The room was clean and updated with adequate in room amenties - buffet breakfast included.
Booked through Turista Internacional that included airport transfers.
Tour operator also organised 3.5 hrs Panama Canal tour and facilitated early return to hotel for check-out and airport transfer.
Staff did not speak much English, so communication was difficult.
