We read the reviews on tripadvisor and felt this would be a nice hotel to stay in. This is more like a budget hotel, if you're ok with overpaying for a motel 6 or something cheaper quality this is for you.
The good ... Check in is late, but we arrived by bus at 5 am and requested early check-in. We waited about 30 minutes and they gave us a room. This is the only reason I've upgraded them to 2 stars.
The bad.... We were on the 9th floor and with the windows closed we can hear every little sound from the street. Trucks, horns, people. The bed was reallly soft, dirty and actually sticky - we didn't want to sleep in it. The bathroom was very small and actually in poor shape. We called the front desk to ask for a different room and being as it's still early they said they'll let us know when they have one available.
The windows leaked, the bed was sticky, the bathroom condition was horrible and even parts of the wall above the window seemed like it had something growing.
My friend took a bunch of pictures of this place - after a long overnight journey we just wanted a place to rest. We were so disgusted that we couldn't and found another hotel in a much better area and for only $2 more - with an upgraded room.
It seems to me that most of the positive reviews were written by staff or friends of staff. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I don't understand how they can charge the prices they charge with such horrible rooms. Oh and the hallway smelled - it looked like an old hospital converted into a hotel.
The bellhop who was standing outside when we arrived by cab didn't assist with the luggage or even open the door for us to wheel our luggage into the lobby.
So hopefully you're a little more informed. When we checked out, the front desk clerk kept looking at his watch and back at us, back at his watch and back at us, not believing we'd check out in 2 hours. We just couldn't stay here any longer.
