“Not as good as it looks.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

After staying at a different hotel in Panama we moved to the Executive Hotel. When we book our rooms we were impressed by the way the lobby looked, and the room shown was pretty good too. We stayed there 2 separate nights and tho the rooms were ok (nothing special, maybe the only thing worth mentioning is the huge TV), and the second night our room was really damp, which didn't allow us to sleep very well. Still if you look for a reasonale hotel in a safe area you might wanna try the Executive.

Room Tip: Make sure to get a room without a moist extractor!

“Not impressed”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 November 2011

I stayed recently but booked the room 3 months ago. The night we arrived, the employee told me that they did not have my reservation and that I was only able to stay one night. Fortunately, they worked this out for me.

I thought this hotel was ok. The room and bathroom were very small, the wi-fi did not work.

The best part was the area of town, which was close to many restuarants, bars and activities. Other than the location, you can do a lot better for the money you would spend here.

“Best Value for the Business Traveler”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 September 2011

As a frequent business traveler in Latin America, I have my short lists of minimum requirements. They are, price, security, high speed internet in the room, location, and a good bed. The Executive (Hotel Ejecutivo) Hotel in the Bella Vista neighborhood of Panama City meets, and in my book exceeds those requirements. There are many luxury hotels to choose from, but at a price of less than $100.00 per night, with a full breakfast buffet included, this hotel is hard to beat. Within walking distance, you have easily 50+ choices of where to eat if you want to eat out, shopping for anything you want, and in a safe area. The hotel is centrally located in one of the prettiest, older neighborhoods of the city, and accessible to anyone making business trips in the city. A complete gym, 50+" flat screen TV, make it even better. Drawbacks are few. It is an older hotel. Bathrooms are small and this hotel is best for one or two people at the most per room. Beyond that, it is a good choice.

“Tania Pardalis De Jacobson, Rep Hotel Ejecutivo Were Very Discourteous Successfully Embarrassed Me In Front Of My Child”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 July 2011

You spoiled my experience with your act of expulsion! Although you expected me to leave quietly as a punished minor; SURPRISE, that is and would NOT BE the case! Here are the two dissimilarities between us distinguished ladies (Mrs. Fletcher and myself): she is NOT ‘visibly’ black and I am unknown to you!
You did not want me staying much longer at the hotel and, let me affirm as I am not God; I cannot say what was in your heart, but, as a Panamanian having learned the meaning of subtle and overt discrimination: I have a good sense when it is happening around or to me. The Hotel has not taught you on what is proper, courteous and responsible customer service behavior, have they? The former was a rhetorical question that requires no reply from you.

Another point of concern: why isn’t there a public WiFi platform for customers and clients of the hotel either staying at or visiting your installations? I am also dissatisfied with the fact that there was no Internet access for my laptops as I have found at several of the restaurants around the world. On this subject, don’t reply to me, just tell the Hotel that it should acquiesce and align itself with the norm of high-class hotels sharing hubs of Internet access.

“OK for a Short Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 April 2011

Predominantly a business hotel, rooms are comfortable and clean but a bit battered.
Beds supremely comfortable with huge feather pillows
Staff were very friendly and most could speak some English so with our Spanglish we got by OK.
Huge and varied breakfast is included and available round the clock, very busy at weekends with many people coming in off the street to eat, there is a rather uninspiring dinner menu as well.
There is a small bar though you usually have to hunt for the barman.
Business centre, gym and small outdoor pool available.
Several good restuarants in the area with one of the best, Tinajas, just two blocks away.
We stayed for two short spells of three and four days whilst attending a friend's wedding and the hotel was fine but I wouldn't want to stay much longer as facilities are limited.
