“charm and comfort”

We spent 8 nights here and I concur with most of the raves, I don't want to be redundant. Its all good and though we thoroughly enjoyed chamber #3 I don't think there is a bad unit in the place. Though having the warm hospitality of the staff is great and the restaurant is certainly a big plus, for me the joy of having an apartment with kitchen is the best - feeling like you are actually living there is priceless.

One thing that not many comment on here is the extreme contrasts that exist in the Casco Viejo, it is a mix of everything: ruins, poverty, wealth like nothing I've ever experienced but I doubt that it is for everyone. The momentum here, in terms of restoration underway, on virtually every block is jaw dropping.

We did many day trips to beach areas nearby (20 minutes) and also went to Coranado (1 hour) as well as exploring the city just minutes away. Its an exciting country.

We'll be back!

Room Tip: as said before if climbing stairs is an issue book on the lowest floor but you must, even if it mean...

“Fantastic Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2012

Stayed at this lovely boutique hotel with a girlfriend for 2 nights after returning from San Blas. I truelly enjoyed being able to have an authentic experience in this vibrant nieghborhood in transition. Our days and nights were filled with historic sights, excellent dining and great gallery shopping. We walked everywhere in Casco never feeling unsafe or at risk.Once our days adventures were complete coming back to Las Clemintinas for a hand crafted basil martini prepared by bartender extrodinair Eddy and jazz piano performed by the dining manager we decided that a return trip with our family was in order! I must say that the staff especially Martin and Maria should be commended for jobs well done. This Hotel is a Must Stay kind of place.

Room Tip: Be sure and check out the roof top in the evening.

“Absolutely charming.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

Stayed for a week as a treat after pretty basic, no frills accommodation elsewhere on my travels. OK it's expensive, but overpriced? I don't think so compared to other accommodation in the area and what you get for your money is certainly worth it. An apartment all to myself with incredible views from inside as well as out (I had apt #5 on the top floor - no elevator) and the view from the roof terrace is quite breathtaking. All the staff were charming throughout my stay, the energy in the place is great, they all seemed genuinely happy to be working there. Great bistro type restuarant on the ground floor, a bit of rotation on the menu wouldn't go amiss but maybe that's just because I ate here at least once a day. It was HOT while I was exploring this fascinating neighbourhood and Las Clementinas was a lovely home to return to! Compliments indeed to all the staff and management. I was sorry to leave and can't recommend this place enough.

“Very special, intimate, well-located hotel”

My husband and I spent 4 days at Las Clementinas in December 2011. It is one of our favorite hotels ever! We were met at the airport by their friendly driver and were welcomed by the staff when we arrived. Our room (on the 6th floor-no elevator) was huge and tastefully decorated. The shower was so beautiful I took photos of it! We had a full kitchen, living room and balconies. There is a rooftop patio with great views and a small but lovely garden downstairs. The hotel restaurant/bar felt friendly and served the best food we had in the city. The staff helped us find an excellent driver to take us around. The hotel is in a great location on the edge of the Casco Viejo right across from the police station so it is very safe. It was a wonderful start to our stay in Panama and I recommend it highly.

“An exquisite old colonial boutique hotel with lovely staff”

Simply beautiful 6 room boutique with a great cafe/bar attached. The rooms are to die for (room 5) huge living area, lovely bed and bedroom, classy en suite and even a smart kitchenette. A glorious roof top terrace. in most boutiques this room would be the master master suite yet I think it comes as standard. It also has two small balconies either side.

Location wise I cannot really comment though it is well placed for then old town (casco viejo).

Staff are fabulous, helpful and friendly.

Also we had fabulous steak and lovely wine and starters in puerta del Tierra 2 mins away.
