I have just come back from Las Hojas. The place is ok, the worst things are the rooms which are very hot and humid with very poor bathroom and the food which is very very average. The good thing of the place is that the all inclusive package cost 56.95 $ each and include three meals. My husband thinks it was already too much, I think it could be a better place but in general is fine.

we went to this place last year because my sister bougth a property just a few blocks from there over the internet. i am salvadorean my husband is american. we were very dissapointed. the area were this hotel is located is very primitive is not close to the main street so you have to drive a while before you get there but the worse is that once you get there is not nice at all. the sorounding areas are very poor and not even my self being salvadorean felt secure. the beach is very dangerous it has holes and bad currents i would not recomend this place to families with kids, the rooms are not infront of the ocean you have to walk to get there. when we went there it was dead and we felt bad and stayed for the people that worked there i don't know how they make it. i would say at of the hotels on the coast this is the least visited because is so hard to find. well with that being said i have to a add the staff at the hotel was nice very humble and talkative. food was not good, drinks were better especially fresh coconut with alcohol called "coco loco"
the only only reason we go back there is for my sister property that is to learn not to buy until you see it in person.
by the way the locals who live there are so cute very humble and so helpfull. the guy who takes care of my sister property has told us even with all the proverty thay have never had any issues with crime or thiefs.
is just a little scarry.

I guess the shock would not have been as great if the hotel name did not include the word "resort" in it. I found the service to be average and the facilities would only qualify for a two-three star rating, which makes the fees they charge extremely high.
The food was also very average. The staff seemed to have very little experience with customer service, as they seemed to be hired from within the area (very rural). The hot water in our shower did not work and neither did cable tv.
The hotel advertises as being an "all-inclusive resort", but no alcoholic drinks are included in their price and the drinks they do sell are terribly overpriced for Salvadoran standards.
The worst was check-out time, when the reception desk clerk was charging us higher prices than those the bar tenders had quoted when we ordered the drinks. In sum, it was not what we expected at all.

I went there with my family in July. The place is kept nice but the pool by the restaurant had a lot of "bugs" in it. And the water was very warm, I'm not sure how often they clean the pool, but I have a feeling they don't do it as often as they should. Also, the beach was
very rough and it had deep holes, so it was dangerous. The food was not bad, it could have been better quality though. Overall, the price
of the stay was much more for what we got. Although, I must say that
security was very good - we did feel very protected.
