The hotel is very nice overall and a great value. But there are some flaws, and I do not think it should have a 5 star rating. The exterior is beautiful and so is the lobby. The room was very nice, and every staff person I encountered was superb. I spent several evenings listening to the great piano players in the lobby while sipping espresso and eating really good cheesecake from the lobby bar.
The free wi-fi worked great. My major complaints would be about the pillows and towels, both of which were very poor quality. Also it would have been nice if the staff would have told me about the hotel amenities upon arrival. The spa is very nice, but the first time I went the water in the Jacuzzi was cold; the second time it was only warm. It is supposed to be hot. I did get a very good massage and skin treatment. The restaurant Teatro was a very good experience. I had a fried mussels appetizer which was excellent. My rib eye steak was good but overcooked. The first night I took a short walk up the street and went to the restaurant closest to the hotel, called Just Café, which features European and Japanese cuisine. Food there was very good.
Opera feels like a boutique hotel, and I had a very comfortable stay. I recommend it and I would stay there again.
