Me and my colleague spent 3 nights in Hotel Attache in May 2009.
The hotel occupies one floor in a modern large apartment building. It is well situated, close (5 min walk) to the central railway station and metro (5 mins walk). A walk to Kreschatik (main Kiev street) took us cca 30 minutes or 5 min ride by taxi (for 50 hryvnias – 5 euro).
My room was spacious, furnished with all comfort and nicely decorated in blue, with a large Israeli flag covering 80 % of the ceiling.
In most cases the staff was nice and helpful, but not always speaking English.
There is no breakfast room but they will bring the breakfast to your room at any time you wish.
There were some minor issues though: When I first entered the room I smelled cigarettes. As I am very sensitive for the cigarette smoke I asked for a different room but was told they had no "no smoking rooms". I was shown another room, but the smell was much worse in this one so I just stayed in the first one.
Secondly, the water tap in the bath was leaking and the water was coming to the floor when I took a shower there was a swimming pool on the bathroom floor.
The safety deposit box in the room did not work (two times the cleaning lady had to come and open the box for me with her key).
There is a little screw in the keyhole in the entrance door (from the inside), so you cannot lock yourself up in the night.
Despite all the minor problems we felt very comfortable there and got a good value for the price.
