First off, the good things: the location is superb (really close to the business district, the Opera and so on), and the rooms are large, spacy, quiet and well-kept. Wireless internet access is free.
Not so good: the quay is dirty - think ankle-deep mud, sleazy sourroundings and graffitied underpasses. Parking is not readily available. We didn't try the restaurant, but breakfast alone was enough to convince us that the Arizona BBW across the street was the better option. As it was, the crew of three at the breakfast buffet were either absent, slow or ignored you. They were unable to keep the buffet stacked for the 20 or so guests they had, and charged extra for water. How long can it take to make a cup of (good, I admit) coffee? Terrible service. The food itself was barely adequate, though if you're into English breakfast Ukraine is the place for you - bacon, sausages, scambled eggs, assorted other dishes, what have you.
So basically this place is OK, considering that Kiew does not have a whole lot of choices. But if it did have, this place'd be out of business.
