Old house from soviet times, not renovated. Old furniture and equipment. Helpful staff. No lift, so You need to be fit to come in to your room on the 6th flor and if You forget something and have to go up again You will not miss the fitness center in the hotel. Best price/m2 ratio in Kiev. You are living in normal flat as the most ukrainian do, but is it still a hotel?

My girlfriend and I stayed in a 600ft2 double-room apartment, which is three times the area of the  hotel we stayed at last time at half the price! The rooms sport modern, tasteful and practical designs. Sherborne’s professional English-speaking staff are surprisingly helpful and courteous, which makes all the difference when visiting a foreign country! Sherborne is located in the center of Kyiv, yet 5-10 minutes away from the main street, which means less noise and pollution. In turn it is surrounded by about half of all historical (including at least three UNESCO heritage sites) Kyiv has to offer, as well as on one of the highest banks of the river Dnepr, so we get an impressive panorama of Kyiv’s left bank from the Victory park by simply crossing the road! All-in-all, Sherborne gave us the feeling of being at home in Ukraine and we are definitely staying here again! Highly recommend it.

The Sherborne is located in a quiet area, but easy walking distance to shops, restaurants and the metro. I found the location ideal. The staff speak good English and are very helpful. The apartment I had was not elegant, but it was spacious, very clean, had good internet access, and was very quiet at night. Independence Square is about a 20 minute walk.

The Sherborne guest house is essentially an old fashioned apartment block with a concierge office on the ground floor. The flat I stayed in was a little old fashioned in decor but was equipped with everything I needed. It was cleaned immaculately everyday.
The staff are friendly and helpful, letting me use the office computer, for example, to keep up to date with the riots back home.
Location is a big plus. The Arsenalna metro station is five minutes walk away, the town centre is fiftenn minutes further on if you want to walk and, in the other direction, you can walk easily to the monastry complex and the war museum. There are great parks nearby and a supermarket round the corner.
The only drawback? The building has no lift and there are 116 steps to the top floor. If you're not up to the climb, probably worth telling them when you book.
