The location is superb. It's just a couple of steps away from the metro station, and if you're lucky to get a room upstairs with the view to the main street, you'll see a part of the Central Square out of your window.
Something weird about the interior 'design'. Great looking reception and dining area, but the rooms look so Soviet! I didn't know these kind of side lamps still even existed!
On the other hand, the bathroom has all the necessary toiletries, like any decent European hotel would do.
Also, even though the furniture looked old, everything was impecably clean.
To save some money me and my sister booked what they call 'single' room for the two of us, and it was perfectly enough space, king-size bed and everything.
The breakfast is included in the rate, and is surprisingly good for this price. The buffet has quite a selection of cheese and ham, and things like omlettes and yoghurts, and what not.
Generally would recommend it to anyone who's seeking basic comfort in the very heart of Kiev for a good price - you can hardly find a better deal for this combination of price-location, if you're coming as a tourist and looking to explore the city, and not watch TV in the room all the time - you'll should definitely stay here.
