This was my 2nd time staying at this hotel and I chose it for its location so I should not complain too much but this time things were different than my 1st trip. First of all the hotel is undergoing repairs so the sound of drilling (surprisingly similar to the dentist's drill) annoyed the hell out of me. Secondly, I could not get more than approx. 30 seconds of hot water out of the shower... Good thing I know how to take 30 second showers... Lastly, the rooms really need an update in furniture and toilet facilities. I felt like I travelled back in time 40-50 years whenever I entered my room except then everything would have been new.
On the good side, it's hard to beat the location and I caught a glimpse of newly updated rooms that looked quite nice. I paid 70 euros a night which was too much for the room. The staff was very friendly and professional and the breakfast buffet was also very nice. I wouldn't recommend a family staying there but if you don't plan on staying in the room long, it's safe and the location can't be beat.

I have just spent a few nights at the Khreschatyk hotel in Kiev.
The position of the hotel really could not be any better it is right by Freedom Square in the centre of the city.
Although it is one of the old communist hotels they have put in a lot of effort to refurbish it and make it nice. The staff are incredibly friendly and the bedrooms are ok.
I paid £62.50 per night which included full breakfast.
For a three star hotel I really can't rate it enough

The hotel is perfectly located to explore this wonderful city. Best to book the superior rooms as I heard the standard rooms are very dated. The superior rooms are excellent. The only slight drawback is the drone from the metro in the mornings.
Breakfast was varied and good and room service was cheap and very efficient. I would recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to stay again

The location is great ... in the heart of Kiev and just walking distance to most of the tourism attractions... Hotel has two kind of rooms , old one and renovated one , really not comparable... but renovated rooms are good and comfortable and also free high speed Wi Fi. Breakfast is not an american breakfast , it is more russian taste but it is nice and new experience and of course I had a very good coffee . The staff are really friendly and they can speak english which is not very common in Kiev....overall I had a very good stay in this hotel.
