I usually stay at this Hotel in Kiev when downtown hotels are fully booked. Bratislava hotel is relatively far from the city center on the left bank of the Dnepr river. You need to take either a taxi or Metro (Darnitsa station) to get to it. If you take metro, you can actually see the hotel and walk is just 2 min.
The hotel has recently been rennovated. They also serve good breakfast. There are some whatchouts: the reception and breakfast area can get full on weekdays as a lot of local business people stay here. Taking a metro in the direction to the city center on a weekday can be a challange - metro trains will just be full arriving at the station. Overall, Bratislava hotel is a good hotel if you plan to take a taxi and don't mind trafic jams, or you plan to take Metro and don't mind being squeezed.
