Unfortunately there really is little to recommend at the Dnipro. The decor is crumbling, the bed was one of the most uncomfortable I've ever slept in, even the curtains were a metre narrower than the window, allowing light to flood into the room from the giant illuminated billboard outside. Trash collection took place at 2am each morning creating so much noise that I though construction work was taking place. TV channels were all local, and the pay-per-view movies were expensive and out of date, but that's about all you can expect for entertainment as you'll give up on the wifi after about 5 minutes. If you're travelling with a laptop make sure you take a few dvds with you!
On the plus side, the room was clean, and I can recommend the sausage and chips from the London Pub next door (turn right, not left, or you'll find yourself in the strip club!). Also, if you're travelling for football, Dynamo Kiev's stadium is right across the road (this is NOT a venue for Euro 2012 though). I believe the hotel is undergoing refurbishment but currently this only seems to apply to the expensive rooms (which are the ones pictured here). If you're staying in the budget rooms, it's not a particularly great experience, I'm afraid.
Room Tip: Ask for one of the refurbished rooms, although these are the more expensive ones.
