“Premier in Name and Premier in Class”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

I am back in Kiev again and for the first time in the classical, traditional yet modern hotel.
Manages to combine English traditional heritage with a 5 star modern image that discerning travellers look for, lots of brilliant woodwork everywhere, really attractive and warm. I have rarely stayed in more comfortable 5 star hotel, I stayed in the Dnister Hotel in Lvov recently another hotel in the Premier Hotel Collection, it was so good that I wanted to stay in another one of this hotel collection, I will be going to another one of the collection in Kharkiv soon. I think Collection is a very fair title for such hotels all different but all retaining some of the culture of their location. The Premier Palace is right next to Khreshchatyk the main street in Kiev, the hotel is located next to museums, shops and restaurants, Tealtralna and Ploscha Lva Tolstoho Metro Stations. The hotel has a sensation health club open to all guests, a range of massages and beauty treatments are available at the spa salon.
Wi-Fi in all rooms. Eight restaurants to choose from, enough choices to satisfy even the most demanding of diners. I had dinner in the relaxing atmosphere of the Terra Cotta restaurant where the bouillabaisse was out of this world, followed by the raspberry tiramisu, first time for this dish but unusually very chilled unlike the tradition tiramisu, however extremely mouth watering
The hotel has a casino for those that want to have a flutter or for the more serious of players.
The staff here are attentive without being overbearing, polite and well-mannered a pleasure to be here.
I stayed when temperature outside was -23 but inside in all areas was as worm as toast.
I would gladly recommend the Premier Palace to any one; they will in my opinion have great stay in the wonderful location in this magical city.

Room Tip: All rooms seem to bas stated all rooms are large and comfortable

“Prmier Palace Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

The rooms are OK b ut it's one of those hotels where you have to put in your card in the lift to get to your floor and more importantly the restaurant. The one night I wanted to go it wouldn't let me access the restaurant, the Sports Bar kitrchen closes really early so I ended up in the Japanese restaurant. There are other business hotels and I'd try a different or cheaper one personally

“Top-class hotel but really expensive!”

High standard hotel very well located. Comfortable room. Free facilities available (wifi, jacuzzi). Good breakfast. However, each service is really overcharged; room, restaurant, mini-bar, transfer to/from airport. It is possible to find high-quality hotels in Kyiv at a much lower price. NOT recommended.

“Terrible service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 January 2012

The hall of the hotel was very impressive with amazing flower arrangements and a big Xmas tree just in the front.
But unfortunately the service was not impressive as the hall at all! I got assigned a smoking room and I kindly asked front office to change it, they took about 20 minutes to send me someone to change the room and the new one was just another smoking room since there was an ashtray beside the bed, so I have had to open the window to change the air.
Moreover the room was categorized as double room but I have never seen such a small bed for double room, which was a 1.2m French size bed. In a 5 stars hotel, you are not expecting this kind of bed.
We went to the hotel restaurant: sumosan, and the food quality was terrible and the price was definitely too high for its quality.
Overall experience was bad in this hotel.

“Superb Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 January 2012

I stayed only one night at the Premier Palace but I will happily stay there again whenever I'm in Kiev.

The hotel is beautiful, modern, yet classic inside and the rooms were large and well-appointed. The lobby and atrium are beautiful and, being Christmas/New Year, these were dominated by a fantastic tree with exquisite decorations. There are four main elevators, two of which are external, glass types that make the simple experience of returning to your room a little special.

The hotel was incredibly clean throughout and I liked the floor mats (in elevators etc) that had the day of the week emblazoned on them and, yes, they did change on our second day.

We had little time to enjoy the hotel but we did make it to the large swimming pool, sauna complex late at night, just before closing. Breakfast was fantastic, buffet style, with made-to-order omelets and a huge variety of local and regular food. This was served in the 8th floor restaurant with a great view over the city.

I wouldn't rate this or any hotel "excellent" without a great experience with the staff. I must say that everyone I encountered in this hotel went above and beyond to make my stay perfect. I was pleasantly surprised by how many employees spoke English, something I don't necessarily expect in Ukraine, even in Kiev.

This hotel is by no means cheap but I managed to get a great deal on my rooms with a few minutes of searching on the usual websites.

Room Tip: My room on the 6th floor had a nice balcony. I don't think there are many of these.
