The hotel is a little out of town so you need to be prepared to stay out all day, however it is only 4 stops on the very cheap metro to the main square, and the station is right outside the hotel. It is a strange layout with the reception being in a small corner of the reception for what looked like another hotel. There were shops and restaurants also included in the building and it looked like different things being run from the same building. The English pub upstairs does a good meal although it is mainly Ukrainian dishes which was ok and a decent price. The room was a normal size for a hotel with everything you would expect. I wish I had checked out the minibar sooner as it was cheap by hotel standards. The bar on the 20 floor was more like a cafe but was ok for a quick drink.

We stayed in a semi suite for 3 nights and had a great time. There are several restaurants and a 24h casino in the building. The room was very nice and had two bathrooms. Due to the weather in Kiev in January we hardly went out, but that didn't matter. The hotel is situated outside the city centre but is quite accessible via the subway, an experience in itself.
