An expensive, medium quality hotel with low service quality. Would not have complained much though as I stayed twice. However, when they tried to charge me money claiming that I had damaged the elevator, that was the end of the story for me. The unjustified charge as well as the very bad attitude was unacceptable. Neither me nor my colleagues from my company will stay there again.

Great location, next to metro station and funicular. Easy access to many walkable attractions. Breakfast buffet is superb. Room was nice size for European hotel and quite clean and well maintained. Hotel appears to be a relatively new venue. Front desk staff & buffet staff spoke good English and were helpful with airport transfer and luggage storage. Only deficiency was the front desk staff's lack of tour information and/or where to find it. Tourist Information Center just down a tad from Independence Square and right next door to the McDonald's was the cure See Eugene for day tour information. Many good eateries in the immediate neighborhood. Highly suggest the "CAFE M. OLIV'E KIEV" restaurant about 4 doors down from the hotel on the same side of the street - ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS AND REASONABLY PRICED. All in all, a very fine place to stay. Location, food, historical sites, shopping, beautiful streets, etc. it's all there.

Staff very nice and helpful. Parking convenient and inexpensive. Located next to metro station and funicular for access to upper city. Location excellent for viewing the city. Rooms are very clean and well appointed. Great view of Dneiper.

The room type was called a "business double" and was rather small where the double bed basically took up 90% of the space in the room. As I was on business and spending little time in the room this never really worried me though. The room was clean and bed was covered with good quality linen. Bathroom was a good size and clean. Breakfast was excellent and overall service was good. Very good plus point was the free internet in the room and entire hotel. Traveling on business and having to still find hotels that do not have WIFI in the rooms is in this day and age is totally unacceptable. The location of the hotel is good in the part of the city next to the river. Although not up in the central city area above, it is situated right next to the funicular which takes you up there. There are also some quaint restaurants in the area around the hotel. The hotel also has a summer roof terrace bar which has a nice view of the river although it was closed by October. Altogether a good hotel at a fair price.
