The hotel is old and somewhat outdated, but descent in an excellent location of Belgrade. The rooms are on the small size, but clean and efficient. The breakfast is good and in general the whole service at the hotel. For the amount of EUR 75.00 that we paid for 1 night, including breakfast and a one-way transfer from the airport, I could not expect more.

We just came back from week stay in Belgrade. We booked hotel Balkan and very much enjoyed it. Rooms not big, but clean and big enough of the purpose, which was to sleep. We travelled with our one year old, hotel arranged nice cot to sleep in.
Location great, breakfast very good. Restaurant excellent. The only small not nice thing is that people can smoke inside and you can tell. Coming from country of EU it is kind of dirty to be in smoking place, but yeah that's something you can't influence. Overall the stay was pleasant and we would book again.

The Balkan Hotel is ideally placed for old Belgrade. Rooms are modern and comfortable, with wifi. Service is pleasant. The principal deficiency during my stay was the fact that the heating could not be turned down in the room, so that the only method of cooling was to open the window. Breakfast, while plentiful, is a little dull

Stayed twice in this hotel - since paid by company - with same experience: the problems are mostly with the very small rooms and with the quality of sleep: rooms on the street have not only noise from street traffic (stopping at night) but also a strange noise I guess coming from an electric apparatus; anyway I could not sleep! A pity, since the rest of the hotel organisation is good or very good.
