I stayed at the Hotel Srbija in Belgrade for 1 week in July, 2007. I should specify that I stayed in one of the hotel's apartments, which I understand to be significantly nicer than the hotel's standard rooms.

The hotel itself is not very modern, but is well maintained and staffed. Everyone was very friendly and attentive, although the garden restaurant staff could not have been slower. The breakfast on the 18th floor restaurant offered a lot of variety and a lovely view of the city. The garden restaurant is lovely for drinks on a good summer night, but I would definitely not recommend the food. Absolutely awful. The location is not central, but close enough. A short bus or taxi ride away (not a walk, however) and very fortunately not in New Belgrade.

The apartment room was spacious, with free WiFi internet, a television with lots of choices and a nice bathroom. My only complaints about the room would be that the air conditioning only effectively reached the lounge room and the bathroom always smelled quite bad.

Overall, I would definitely recommend the hotel for anyone.

I liked my stay in Hotel Srbija, Belgrade. I have stayed there for week. The stuff is very nice and friendly. The room is clean and cheap. Hotel is close to down town, only 10 minutes by bus or 5 minutes by taxi. If I ever go in Belgrade again, I will definitly chose the same hotel. There is very nice restourant on the 18th floor. The best, I liked is the view from restourant

Not the worse ever, but with SERIOUS issues. Most positive aspects the recent refurbishment (at leas on the 11th floor) and the fact that it is quite clear.
BUT... it actually feels like a student hall of residence, the service is very bad, most of the staff doesn't speak English and is not really willing to help. Very far from the city centre, in a dull and ugly area. Old building, tiny room and overpriced (70 EUR for a single room!!!).
Wouldn't stay there again, unless (like this time) there was NO other room available in the entire Belgrade area.
