“PART TWO SERBIAN SPECIALthe”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 December 2011

the hotel as you approach it is majestic. grand, and beautiful with old world charm.
they usually have entertainment eg. piano player in the restaurant. everyone goes there
and so its fun to people watch. plus you are on the main street in belgrade so inside and outside you have a wonderful view.
the service, the food, the music, the enviroment is lovely. for sure put this on your list
of things to see and do in belgrade. you will have a wonderful time. this is an old hotel with a lot of history.

Room Tip: just talk to the staff and they will help you out with your room requests.

“Only for short stays”

I have stayed in this hotel only for 1 night - fortunately.
The room and bathroom are quite small. (Similar to London ones,if you have ever been to one :) )
Overall the room was clean and organized to be in a practical way but due to space constraints you can't enjoy much. Breakfast buffet was also okay.
The location is also central.

“Smallest room ever...”

Lakelly, I had to be there one night only otherwise I would switch to another hotel. The room was the smallest room I ever had in my life. My last cruise ship cabin was bigger. I tried to explain to the receptionist that rooms like this simply should not be offered by the kind of the hotel they are trying to be. He did not even try to make it look and sound like he cares about my dissatisfaction. Instead he said I should not make reservation over Expedia and gave me his business card so I can call directly "and they will tell me exactly how big room I am getting". He di not get it. Of course I threw his card and next time I will look for the hotel which does not sell walk in closets for hotel rooms.

“Three Nights in Belgrade”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 October 2011

We splurged on an executive suite since the rooms were relatively inexpensive. This was our first stay as part of a 45 day Balkans trip we designed. The Hotel is very beautiful in a classical sense on the outside and in the public areas inside (mostly - exception is the check-in lobby is spartan but we understand is being renovated). The hotel has loads of character and has had many famous guests who have signed photos in the hotel. The room we had was very recently renovated, as are most I believe, and had an extremely comfortable bed and pillow ( the best we experienced on the entire trip). There is a very nice breakfast provided and the outside cafe is large and very popular. The location is very good for restaurants - within easy walking distance as well as most of the City's sights. The suite have two levels with a fairly steep spiral staircase if that is an issue for you. The staff at check in could be a little friendlier and helpful but there is nothing to complain about specifically - they were just not overly helpful but if you ask all the right questions they will readily answer.

Room Tip: Go for a suite if you can. Also ask for a room off of the busy street - they will be quieter

Nice hotel:
Very helpfull staff, very good breaffast with a lot of choice, the room was really nice, but with a small bathroom, but it was ok. When you entered the hallway, music started playing, they created a nice athmosfere. And they have a really nice tearoom as well.
So i can recommend this place!
