“Definitely a hidden gem:-)”

The Zira Hotel is a brand new and very stylish hotel, and offers everything a traveller desires: Very friendly and helpful staff, all amenities, free WLAN in the entire hotel, free international landline calls (a first for me), extremely good breakfast with a large variety of fresh fruit, free dinner (!), an excellent, moderately priced a-la-card restaurant, good conference facilities, direct access to a nice little shopping mall with a bank, ATMs and a large super market. The staff always have a smile on their face.

The location may not be prime, but everything in Belgrade is easily accessible. So this hotel is definitely highly recommended!

The hotel is modern, clean and well run. The free wi-fi, free international calls to landlines and the very reasonable prices for drinks and food make this an excellent place to stay. it's within walking distance of the city centre. i would stay again and recommend it to others.

“Zira - a good quality hotel in Old Town side”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 November 2011

Another trip to Belgrade on business. As reviewed recently, checked for space at the IN Hotel and the Holiday Inn to book but both were full :-(

As more meetings were to be in the Old city side decided to check the other side and to book into the Zira Hotel on the Old Town side. Read the Zira reviews and decided on it..

Zira is smaller than the large hotels on the New Belgrade side stayed in. A friendly welcome and efficient check in as seems to be the trend in Belgrade. Thanks. Room very nice, clean and up to date. A bit smaller than with the HI or the IN Hotel for comparison. Later was told that Zira and IN Hotel are owned by the same group, therefore the good service and smiling faces.

Was not troubled by the previously reported Musak in the halls, perhaps they have read some reviews complaining of this and toned it down. No external noises and slept very well. Good location for the Old town side.

On check-in received a voucher for a free dinner each nite of my stay in the hotel restaurant. As I had business meetings each evening - 3 nights, I did not try the restaurant at night - but a very nice gesture.

Breakfast was good and pleasant - not quite as good as the HI or IN Hotel as a comparison but no complaints and included in the night rate.

Overall a good hotel located in the Old side of the city which brings benefits of avoiding across the river traffic. The bridge repairs are now complete - late November finally so traffic is moving better but still can take up to an hour to move across on a bad day.

Very pleased with Zira and can recommend it. So if I had to choose - I would take the IN hotel or HI over the Zira if business needed to be donw in New Belgrade or indee doverall simply due to feeling of a larger hotel and the amenities there if all being equal. Would not hesitate though to stay at Zira again.

“A very happy and comfortable stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 November 2011

I chose the Zira Hotel on the basis of Tripadvisor reviews despite it being a long way fro the conference venue I was attending. I was very glad I chose it. The Conference centre in New Belgrade was in a soulless concrete desert with standard international hotels that I head nothing but complains about.

The Zira hotel is first and foremost friendly and welcoming. Reception staff are enthusiatic to welcome you and tell what's on offer. The hotel is modern and thoughtfully decorated. I like the little features like the star-like lighting in the restaurant, the old fashioned travel trunks in reception adn the good music playing through the PA.

My room was just what I would expect on a business trip - with some surprising extras. Beds were comfortable with cozy duvet. Lighting was bright when needed and where it was needed. Windows are big, giving an airy light feel to the room, but the blackout curtain was excellent. There was a good desk with free high speed wi-fi and cable connection to the internet. Nice flat-screen TV with all the expected options for international TV, movies on demand etc. They even offer free international phone calls to landlines! The bathroom has a great, instantly hot shower and is nicely equipped and decorated.

Breakfast was great with a big choice from the buffet including lovely fresh fruit, fantastic breads, pastries and local specialities and the usual hot food selection.

Another surprise was the free buffet dinner. I don't know if every guest gets this for every night they stay, but it was certainly very welcome and inviting and I was happy to spend time there and buy drinks on top of my free meal.

There's a well equipped gym and otherservices that I didn't use on this stay, but i would certainly go back to the Zira Hotel. Incidentally, the taxi ride to the Sava conference centre took about 20 minutes and cost about €5.
