Stayed there 3 nights and I don't regret it.
It is modern, rooms have been renovated and are very clean.
Staff was friendly, professional and helpful. They speak english very well.

Breakfast is more than ok and will fill you up with everything you need to start the day (viennoiseries, delicatessen, scarmbled eggs, bacon, fruits, cheese,...)

It is only 15 rooms so the staff will remember your name and give your keys even before you ask for it. It feels like home.

It is well located, only 5 minutes walk from Piata Romana.

It s a nice hotel over all. Not far from the center, maybe at a distance of only 5 lei (something more than 1 euro) by the taxi. The staff is professional and competent, I liked them very well, since they don t see you as a client, but as a guest. The breakfast is a basic continental one, and the internet works well also. There are a couple of good restaurants in the area nearby (ask the receptionists for suggestions) and always good value for money, something special in Romania. The rooms are not the most luxurious and spacious, I have experienced, but well equipped, good designed and with nice beds. I have used the services of this hotel for several times, as I was for business there and I will also continue to use it the next times in the future. As tip, I would advise you to try to negotiate about the price, since there will be a discount, if you are lucky.

Hotel Unique is located in the Centre of Bucharest 5 minutes walk from Piata Romana (Square) behind ASE Faculty. It is located on a very quite and safe street . I have been pleasantly surprized with the modern ,renovated and clean room and bathroom . The breakfast was included with my package and was of excellent quality. There is wide selection of scrambled egg, sunny side-up or boiled, various kinds of cheeese one better than the other, fresh bread, coffee, fruits,juice, fresh croissant baked in house, tomatoe salad,etc. The staff is nice and friendly and trying to accomodate any request. I have booked my room through Expedia . When I arrived I have been told that it was a mix-up and there are no rooms available for the first night but they made arrangements at a 4 star hotel close by at Starlight Suites Hotel . They gave me a ride and pick me up next day. The Starlight hotel was great and I will review it separately. There was noise most of the nights but not sure where was coming from. All in all I enjoyed my stay at this hotel -it is a good value. During my stay I have used the subway -Piata Romana station is at 5-10 minutes easy walk. The subway is modern,clean ,efficient and cheap. I have bought 10 tickets for 10Ron (app Cdn $3).Taxis are very cheap typically 1.4Ron/km. The airport is at ap 20km and it takes app 25 minutes if traffic ok or app 1 hour during rush hour.

+ the guy at the reception during my first two days was very very helpful. He even went to the extent of finding additional info on travel trips for me.

- not 4 star as they claim to be
- receptionist on the next two days, a lady that was not very friendly and warm. she was cold and a contradictory to the nice helpful guy at the reception two days earlier.
- on my last day she offered a drink, asked " if I would like something to drink", so I said yes and after the coffee, she asked me to pay 12 lei! i felt cheated and she should have said something about paying before offering. I assumed it was a nice gesture from the hotel. I did not have enough money and paid her 10 lei.
