First off I have to say that the staff is really helpful and friendly. They all speak perfect English and go out of their way to help you. Elena, Victor and the other staff members are GREAT! They have good personalities and are a joy to speak with. The hotel has no parking to speak of, but there is no parking in Bucharest at all! So if you are in a rental car, you'll have to park in the street. But you may get lucky and there is enough room to park about two cars there. So just walk and take the metro or a taxi. Unlike the other hotels in Piata Romana, this one is off the main streets and is in a much more quiet location. This is a great so you can get a good night's sleep. There is a GREAT restuarant just up the street and a smaller restaurant cafe type also close by. You are close enough to the main part of Piata Romana to get other items you need. You are in walking distance to the Enescu museum and the Ateneul Roman. Also, there are other good restaurants in this area that you can walk to. What is nice about Hotel Unique is that the rooms have laminate flooring. It gives a MUCH better sense of clean when you are staying there. Knowing that the floor is mopped everyday is nice and you don't have to worry about the quality of the carpet like you would at other hotels. This hotel does not have a restaurant, but they provide a buffet style breakfast which is of good quality. If you are okay with your hotel not having a restaurant, then this hotel would be a great choice. Since I was there on a photography excursion, the staff was nice enough to let me use some of their more expensive rooms for some photo shoots for free! You can't beat service like that! The hotel is definitely a three star hotel, but it is clean, quite and staffed with good people. If you want to see the local sites, the staff will tell you where to go and even make the reservations for you. If your taxi cab driver doens't speak English, the staff will tell him where to take you. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is staying in Bucharest. Sure there are nicer hotels in Bucharest, but if you want a nice, quiet, quaint place to stay with great staff, you can't beat Hotel Unique!
