“Value for money in Bucharest”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 February 2011

The NH Bucharest is a business hotel which ticks all the boxes for quite a reasonable price, at least for Bucharest. There's no swimming-pool or health club, it's not too big actually, but it's quite new, comfortable, and the staff is very attentive. I just had a problem during my stay: due to some works in the area, there would be no hot water between 9 and 11 AM. I had a shower well before that, at 7 AM, and the water was cold anyway. Not very nice when it's -12º C outside! But this wasn't really the hotel's fault, and I may come back again.

“Great Hotel in Okay Part Of City”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 October 2010

For an American business traveler in Bucharest the NH is great affordible choice. The hotel staff are mostly able to speak/understand English, wireless internet is available in every room, and breakfast is included in room charge. Being a bigger guy, having a room with a work desk and a real queen size bed was very nice. Many eastern European rooms do not have larger sized beds. The room I was in had nice hardwwod floors and a large window with a view of the busy intersection below. The traffic noise starts early morning (about 0530) and continues non stop until around 2000 at night. There are not many resteraunts within walking distance but the easy location makes getting a cab simple too.
I have stayed at the NH hotel my last 3 times in Bucharest and have had no problems with anything. The services provided and the room ammenities were equal to what would be expected in western branded hotels costing 2-3 times as much. The absolute only down side to this hotel is access to resteraunts within walking distance.

“OK Location, Good Value, Good Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 October 2010

Modern hotel, slightly off the main street, but I really liked that it wasn't on a busy thoroughfare. The hotel itself is located in the center of the city, but not near the chic trendy shopping areas or the nice urban neighborhoods, more or less in a business area (?). But Bucharest itself isnt very large. Very close to the palace (I'd recommend seeing). Got an expresso downstairs, nearby ATMs. Probably recommend staying closer to some night life, restaurants, bars, etc... didnt try public transportation. had a romanian friend with me. overall for the city, the language barrier might be tough to overcome. hotel staff speak english though.

“A good base in central Bucharest”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 July 2010

Good value, helpful staff, all necessary amenities, nice rooms, spotless. Walking distance from Unirii, quick cab ride to pretty much everywhere (hotel calls normal-priced, reliable taxis that arrive instantly). The lots across Mircea Voda - except for the Jewish Theater - seem like they're slated for development, a bit of an empty feel even though you're dead central. Nice cause it's quiet. Breakfast included is plentiful and quite decent, though the dinner in the same place is lackluster. I'd eat out. Wifi everywhere, fridge in the room, free printer downstairs. NH was home for a 2-week business trip in October and I was (almost) sad to leave.

“Good value rooms, excellent customer service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 April 2010

Rooms were clean, spacious and excellent value for money. Reception staff were friendly and extremely helpful - particularly when we were unable to fly back due to the volcanic ash cloud. They suggested taking the coach back to London and went out of their way to help us sort out the arrangements.

Location of hotel is also good - pretty central with bars, clubs, restaurants etc. all fairly close by.
