i stayed here for 3 weeks on business. the location is very good, very close to the Hilton (great drinks and food there) and cose to good bars and restaurants.
the apartments are in blocks so the reception is in a seperate building. my apartment had 1 bedroom with 2 chairs and a tv, a largish kitchen, bathroom, large hallway and balcony leading off the bedroom. the interior was ok, comfy bed, around 55 satillite channels, large window and long but narrow balcony. the kitchen was modern, but not very well equipped, no tin opener etc. there was no iron and ironing board in the room and a couple of times the iron or board that was delivered were broken.
breakfast was provided in a brasserie downstairs, it was ok, but lots of things there that i'd have had for lunch rather than first thing..coffees were good though.
the problem i felt was that the whole place was really quiet which unnerved me slighty, the only time i heard other guests was when the gentlemen nxt door to me were entertaining ladies for a couple of hours, this was not pleasant to listen to and i felt vunerable.
being high up in an aging building i was also concerned about fire safety, there was only one set of stairs and a lift and i couldn't see any smoke alarms but i was assured by the staff that there was one in the room.
the gym costs 10 euro a day, it was a flashy gym and lots of locals are members. internet connection is expensive.
if you are looking for space, convenience and self catering facillities then this is a good place, if you re looking for a touch of luxury and peace of mind with safety then i'd say the Howard Johnston might be a better alternative.
