Very nice service, good location, near the old city and close to casino hotels..

No more than sleep and work with average comfort.
Everything is just below fair: rooms (small but clean), lobby, breakfast, staff.
Nothing to write home about.

i stayed at the "golden tulip victoria" 4 nights in the begining of october at room 503. i have arrived at 1pm room was ready and check in efficient. i have booked directly with the hotel , they had a very very low special rate of 56 euro a night , a refundable reservation , and i was very happy. rate included all taxes and a buffet breakfast.
hotel is a 5 minutes walk from piata romana where the bus drops you from the airport. its a 15 minutes walk from lipscani the old town , 10 minutes walk to the romanian national art museum , in short very central.
the room was modern, plasma tv, good ac, and a nice bathroom. room was well mainatained , clean and good size. i have enjoyed the breakfast , pretty good, cheese at least 3 types, meats, eggs , fresh tomatos and cucumbers , also baked balkan stuff etc.
you can pay the bill in dollars or euro, and the rate they calculate is the same exchange rate as the exchange places , very fair and the otel doesnt try to rip you off . on check out there were few mini bar charges, which i never had and the girl at reception promptly cancelled them.
the service was good and all and all a good nice stay !! i would definetely without hesitaion recommend the hotel to any one going to bucharest.

I have stayed there for one night and decided to change. Rooms are not very large, well acquiped. Bathroom Ok, but not really spotless clean. Aircondition is very noise and central (you cannot regulate neither switch off). Hotel is located in the centre of the city and facing ONLY busy Calea Victorai and adjusting street. All very noise, event with windows closed. Breakfast avarage. very helpfull staff but it will not change the opinion.
