The hotel itself is very nice and well-maintained with a friendly staf. We had a large deluxe room (but beware of rooms on the last floor which have slanted beams in the room on which you can bang your head). The hotel caters primarily for meetings and seminars held by locals; for that it is perfect. (When I looked for an English-language tourist brochure like the "This Week in X" you find everywhere, I was told that the hotel is for business meetings!
However, the hotel is located in a run-down area with no stores or restaurants in easy walking distance. In fact, you can't even go out for a walk because the hotel is on a main artery. If you are going someplace else on business or if you want to do some sightseeing, you are at the mercy of Bucharest's traffic jams and surly, unreliable taxi drivers. So you will enjoy you stay IN the hotel, but not if you want to use it as a base for business or tourist travel.
