Booked this hostel on the way down from Brasov at the last minute as it was the only one with online availability.

Arrived late and the girl was very friendly and the place was clearly empty which made it all the better for us.

Free internet on a reasonably quick computer (not the norm in Romania), showers were good, no problems at all,

the girl on reception was up at 4am and called us a cab to Gare de Nord. For the price i wish id not booked a hotel later in the week in bucharest as i would have happily stayed here again.

not sure how it would be when busy but for us it was good

We arrived at 9pm and would have left straight away if we werent exhausted from a 48 hour trip to get there. The lady working there was rude and we seemed like an annoyance to her. Our dorm was 4 bunks, which is fine, but on one of the bottom bunks was a 50 something year old half naked man. There was nowhere in the room for us to put our backpacks as the man and the other person had their stuff everywhere. No lockers. Our room was the entry to another room, so these people had to come through our room to get to theirs. The showers were fine, even had little changing rooms which was good. But I felt sorry for the people whose room was off the shower and toilet area. they would have got no peace and quiet at all. It was a terrible experience, we got up at 6am, took our bags and went to the Hotel Ibis Gara De Nord which was awesome. Villa Helga was a cheap place to stay but an absolute nightmare. Would never stay there again.
