I've stayed in this hotel (and reviewed it) before, and we stayed here again on 2 seperate weekends in January 2012. The hotel is trying to do something a bit different - mixing modern convenience with some of the interbellum charm that Bucharest once had. The mixture may not be to everyone's taste, but at least its different. While locals recommend the Radisson Blu nearby, I find this place better value and it has an individuality that the larger chains don't possess. The staff are charming - we were upgraded to a luxury room as the hotel was so empty. A great location, it really should be more popular than it is, especially as rooms are reasonably priced at c.110 euros per night. The only minor quibble is that the modern sink is too shallow to be able to wet shave or fill the kettle with any ease, but that is hardly a major problem. Thoroughly recommended.
