This is a traditional and beautiful hotel in the heart of the city. It is first class from the bedding and bathroom amenities to the lobby and location. It is central to major sites and close to the hop-on-hop-off bus tour. Bucharest is a city that is huge in scope and this small, luxurious, and personal hotel is an oasis in this bustling metropolis. Of course, the amenities and other room touches are understated and lovely, The buffet breakfast was plentiful and varied. And the prices reflect the fact this is eastern Europe.

This is a really superb boutique hotel in a prime position in this city which is trying hard to restore itself to something of its' former glory. It actually is a masterstroke in interior design given its' situation and during my stay it was the hotel which helped to lift my spirits after being out and about surrounded by graffitti and shabby former communist buildings.
The furnishings and fittings are stylish (OK you probably wouldn't have them at home, but a change is as good as a rest) and comfortable. The staff are friendly and extremely obliging and the bar and bistro (where a good buffet breakfast is served) are great. There is a feeling of being very welcome and very well looked after and I look forward to returning next year.

A lovely big room (actually very big room) well decorated, clean and well presented. Staff really helpful , there when you need them but not all over you. Our room looked out onto the reconstructed foyer of the original National theatre which is now part/attached to very modern looking Novotel - strange but sorta nice. Only carp would be that breakfast plates are small designed more for show than usage but this is extremely minor. All in all I would highly recommend this hotel .
