I visit Bucharest regularly for business, the Hilton always sticks out because of the friendly helpful staff. The rooms are what you would expect of a Hilton although a bot outdated. Location is very central.

This was the most disappointing stop over on our fabulous Orient Express trip from Istanbul to Venice back in Sept.

Our tour guide kept telling us how Westernised and modern his City had become.

Perhaps this hadn't filtered down to Hilton Hotels!

The corridors and rooms looked like something out of a 70's Bond movie and the food at breakfast...well, thank goodness for lunch elsewhere!

Don't get me wrong. I'm comfortable with different cultures and standards, but Hiltons should be Hiltons!

the position of the hotel is very good, but the rooms are not so like a room of five stars hotel, the conferences halls are interesting.there are some problems regarding the restaurat and especially the quality of the food( example-the veal meat was not good at all) and sometimes the quality of the srvicies of the persons from restaurant.

Although I suspect that there are different types of rooms in this hotel (i.e. recently refurbed ones and not recently refurbed ones), I can't say that my room, which was located at Club level was up the standard I was expecting. It was comfortable but it simply looked too much like a motorway hotel as far as the interior went.

Staff were as you'd expect from a hotel in this category but nothing more. It is a real shame that smoking is still allowed in the English bar because otherwise it would be a lovely bar (now it's simply too smoky). Breakfast is great and so the little bar at the front of the hotel (I forgot the name).
