“Great hotel; pre-pay to get best value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

I stayed here for two nights and everything was excellent. They arranged a car from and to the airport and the driver doubled as a tour guide, giving a very informative commentary; not free but worth the expense. I stayed on the top floor and used the executive lounge which had soft drinks 24/7 and complimentary food, beer and wine until 9:30pm every day, including weekends. The room was large and the bathroom was particularly impressive. All staff were very helpful and pleasant.
It is comparatively expensive but by pre-paying I was able to get a considerably reduced rate.

“That's a borderline flawless hotel...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

I stayed here for 3 (three) nights. The hotel building is gorgeous outside and inside, a tourist attraction itself with spiral marbled stairs, wildely large spaces, classic furniture, spotless cleaned and with everything looking brand new. The customer service is almost flawless, cordial and speaks a very good English. The hotel is located five long blocks away from the Old Town, but the walk is completely worth it. You can alternatively get a taxi and pay around US $ 12 (one-way).

I got a room with a front view that allowed me to see a beautiful old church and a chunk of the famous (and massive) Romanian Parliament. Because of the recent snow and the sunny days, my window view was breathtaking. The room is very confortable and everything worked well: from the confy bed to the great shower. TV Cable selection is limited though, with a lot of local channels. The Internet connection was solid and reliable, but paid on the side.

The buffet breakfast will please americans, europeans and latin americans alike. A huge assortment of delicious stuff. The pastries and crunchy breads are to die for. The olny remark is about the fruits: not fresh, but edible.

For the ones that could access, the Executive Lounge is also very pleasant, excellent for business meetings and at night served some premium hot dishes/finger food (like grilled lamb ribs and shrimp cocktails), cheese and tiny desserts.

“One of the best of Marriott's”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

Truly an exquisite hotel. The best hotel you will find in Romania. Truly luxurious, decorated with style and great taste, good service, amazing restaurants like Steakhouse and Cucina, luxury shops (LV, Valentino, Bang &Olufsen, Mihai Albu and others) an endless variety of foods at breakfast buffet. Once I tried another place to stay in Buchares, but it ended up as a dissapointment. JWM it's the place I always return to.

“Luxury all over”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

The hotel greets you with luxury all over, the reception is located between 2 big marble stairs to the first floor.
One the ground floor you can find some nice stores, such as Luis Vitton and more.
Do not miss the Lebanese restaurant, very nice food, and very low price. There is a Casino downstairs that I did not got to see, but overheard my colleagues that enjoyed it.
I loved the Champions bar, it is great place to hangout and grab a beer, play some pool, and spend nice time with friends.
Will defenaitly come back with the family.

Dear Guest,

We are glad to hear that you appreciated our hotel and had a pleasant stay.

As for the location, our hotel is not far away from the old city center and right next to the Parliament Palace and offers a spectacular view of the city. You can take a taxi from the hotel to the old city and our staff can help you with any information. The ride lasts less than 10 minutes and costs about 2 euro.

Hope to welcome you again soon in our hotel.
