“Clean, Comfortable, and Exceptional Service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 July 2009

I stayed at the Nobil Club Hotel in Chisinau for several nights in July, 2009. I had never been to Moldova, and had no idea what to expect with the accommodations. This hotel is truly a five-star hotel. The rooms are very large, and incredibly comfortable. The TVs had a great variety of English/US TV channels, which was a nice surprise! You could also easily control the temperature in your room with an easy-to-use thermostat. The bathroom facilities were spectacular compared to many other European hotels that I have stayed in. Each night, you received a chocolate and a weather report for the upcoming day in your room. The hotel was definitely busy with foreign travelers, most who appeared to be in town for business.

Breakfast was included in the stay. It was very convenient (located in the View restaurant on the 7th floor) and had a nice basic selection of food. You could order and pay for more extensive options. The View Restaurant located in the hotel had great food (we ate there for breakfast each day and once for dinner). The restaurant looks out over Chisinau, and provides for spectacular views throughout the day and night. Even if you don't stay at this hotel, it is worth it to at least have a drink at this restaurant, located in the hotel. There are two levels of the restaurant - one on the 7th floor and one on the roof.

There was a small but nice fitness center, that had basic weights and cardio machines. The room was clean and never crowded.

This hotel is convenient to shops and restaurants in Chisinau. We walked to several nice restaurants from the hotel each night with no problem. The ride from the airport was about 20-30 minutes. The hotel is able to set-up rides easily.

“A Small 5-Star Wonder With A Delightful and Pleasant Staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 April 2006

I spent 14 days in Chisinau,Moldova on business. I was there on business and like most Eastern European countries, this small Republic sitting to the right of Romania and south of Ukraine is trying move beyond its Soviet past and into a post modern age of capitalistic success.

One such place that is already of age is the Nobil Club Hotel. A quaint and private hotel for the influential and important. With only a few rooms, the Nobil Club offers 24-hour 5-star service for its guests.

The rooms are quite spacious for a private European hotel. There is adequate closet space, decent draws and a nice King Size bed. Each room has a view of the street. The bathroom has a full bath, shower and jacuzzi with the linen amenitites inclusive of a wash cloth. Many European owned and operated hotels do not carry wash-cloths. The Nobil Hotel has the business traveller in mind and creates an atmosphere of convenience.

When you check into your room, you are greated with a nice large fruit bowl and a bottle of Moldova's best wine. I do not drink alcohol so it was a nice souvenir for my friend back in the U.S.

The staff is very kind, cordial and polite. The hotel manager is a beautiful woman who looks like a runway model. The men who work at the Nobil Club always smile even when they are very tired. The maid service is diligent and will come to clean your room as soon as you leave the room. During the evening for turn down service, a great piece of Moldovan chocolate is placed on your pillow.

Every evening after 8 p.m. a young woman who sings like the Roberta Flack of Moldova croons top American tunes while you dine on Moldovan cuisine. She and I had the opportunity to sing together one evening I was there.

What is special about the dining is the chef will work to accomodate your dietary and special request needs. Their fish, chicken and beef dishes are delicious. My favorite is the Nobil Club thick hot chocolate -which is not like the typical hot chocolate we are used to in the States.

You will sleep peacefully each night. There is not any noise to disturb you or any loud partying.

There is a very astute and handome man at the hotel who the staff calls Sir. He has peppery hair and is finely dressed. He appears every evening at 6 p.m. and after 8 p.m. to make sure things are up to par. A man of power and business, he makes you feel special with his kind eyes. Perhaps it was me, but this was how I felt.

The Nobil Club is expanding he says and will open up its new doors in January of 2007 with more than 50 private rooms and even more expanded services.

The Nobil Club currently does not have an elevator. It is not wheel chair friendly, but I suspect the new hotel will be. Additionally, the hotel is too small to house a gym, but it has a great relationship with Chisinau's most prestigious gym called Eco-sport. For $10.00 USD per day, you can work out.

Mentioning the Nobil Club to people in the street meets with an impressive look and expression. It simply means you must be someone important.

I would suggest the Nobil Club put DVD players in each room so that guests may watch movies in their rooms. Internet access could be upgraded to wireless in each room as well as a business center. I totally believe the new place will have these amenities.

I look forward to someday coming back to Chisinau and staying at the Nobil Club again. Perhaps the handsome sir with the kind eyes will invite me to the grand opening.

The Nobil Club has 24-hour security and it is a very safe place for business women to stay.

I reccommend the Nobil Club for all visitors and business travelers who want to experience great treatment and a great stay.
